Weekend in Pori and we looked for advice for a nice restaurant. We found the best:Trattoria Bucco.Absolutely the best food in town, and I suppose one of the best in Finland. Well prepared, så fantastic tasty and friendly. Next time in Pori we will come back. Italian touch of Nordic food. The place looks like nothing from outside, and showed up as THE ONE inside.

We had an excellent dinner in Torget, situated close to Pori market square, tori, torget. The menu list is nice, not too wide, making it easy to make your choices. The restaurant keeper helps you choosing the wine letting you taste the wines, they arenât actually listed. Torget prefers local ingredients, our dinner was excellent. On hot summer evenings we have had in Finland some kind of air condintioning would be nice. But, weâll go to Torget again. Might be wise to make a reservation beforehand.

Our family visited Rosso in Pori in June 2019. Spacious and relaxed. Menu heavily leaning towards Italian kitchen (as expected), but still catering meat, fish and vegetarian needs. We had starters and main dishes for a family of three and all were very nice. You get additional discounted prices and offers if you are S-group member. Price was within medium range and alcohol (like everywhere in Finland) was somewhat pricey. Only minor issue was with service staff, who neglected to pick up dirty dishes from our table once we had dined, fortunately, half of the table was empty so we managed to make some and push the plates to the other end of the table. The staff was relatively young, so perhaps it was due to inexperience? But the food was still very nice. Would we come here again? Sure, definitely.

The KauppaHalli in Pori was underwhelming so we looked for a place to have lunch and found Caffe Locale. There was a lunch buffet but we opted for one of the several sandwiches. A very pleasant spot to stop on our drive toward Oulu.

Paljon kaikenlaisia tarjouksia ja valtavan pitkä ruokalista. Nämä seikat yleensä korreloivat melko huonolaatuista ruokaa ja näin on myös tämän ravintolan tapauksessa.On vaikea keksiä mitään positiivista sanottavaa muuta kuin että nälkä lähtee varmasti, annokset ovat sen verran kookkaita. Ruoat tilataan ja maksetaan tiskillä ja ne tarjoillaan pöytään. Henkilökunta ei tunnu osaavan vastata yksinkertaisiimpiinkaan kysymyksiin ruoasta. Edelläni olevalle asiakkaalle ei osattu kertoa mikä on pizzan ja pannupizzan ero. Ymmärrän että kaikkea ei voi tietää, mutta aina voi kysyä vaikka keittiöstä sen sijaan että asiakas jätetään ilman vastausta.Ruoan laatu vastaa grilli- tai huoltamotasoa. Kaikki kokeilemani annokset ovat vaikuttaneet siltä että ruoka tulee joko pakastimesta tai muuten eineksinä, jotka lämmitetään keittiössä. Osa annoksista tosin näytti lautasella melko hyvältä, esillelaittoon sentään oli panostettu.Positiivisenä jäi mieleen vain laskun loppusumma. Tosin vielä halvemmalla voi ostaa alakerran Citymarketista "äitien tekemää" ja lämmittää sen kotona mikrossa.
