Nice Different Place
Reviewed By dadsasdasdA nice, different place to stay in downtown Hämeenlinna. Review based on a one-night stay in March’22 (background of spending 80+ nights per year in different hotels around the globe). Location: Quite well located just on the border of city center, away from the main commotion but still just a short walk away from the restaurants, shops and bars. The main bus station close by, distance to the railway station 1.5km. With car the E12 highway is very easily reachable. Room: Had a room at the ground floor next to the main entrance. On the smaller side but enough for a single night without any big luggage etc. Some issues with soundproofing though, as the room has just a regular thin door to the corridor. So it was rather obvious every time somebody entered the building or went out. Having said that, luckily there was not really any major problem. Room was very clean, no signs of usage anywhere. Etc: Good breakfast served to the table. Check-in & out was very efficient. Would I return there? Yes sure, a nice place offering something else than the regular big hotel experience

Sunnuntai aamuna oli omatoimi aamiainen, joka sopi oikein hyvin meille jotka noustaan todella aikaisin. Maanantaiaamuna olikin jokin toinen versio, joka oli jäänyt mainitsematta meille. Soiteltiin numeroon ja sieltä pian meille takaisin ja niin oli taikoontunut varhainen aamiainen paikalleen ja pääsimme jatkamaan matkaa. Joustavuudesta suuri kiitos.

Reviewed By Guy EA very warmhearted welcome. We shared a few experiences, and we were told of the origin of the house. The room was very nice and comfortable. The morning breakfast was plentiful and excellent. A place to be recommanded.

Unique place to stay
Reviewed By fr0mfinlandwithl0veOne of its kind - a unique carefully restored and decorated old country house. You do not stay in a hotel, but rather have a room in a home of the owners. Lots of antique, old furniture, makes the environment a bit unreal, almost like a museum, but not in a bad sense. The dinner offered onsite was however a point for improvement. Regular home food and mediocre wine marketed as a fine dinner - the premium paid for dining at an old table was quite high. Would recommend dining elsewhere.

Reviewed By Jarmo SHotellin sijainti on erinomainen Riihimäen keskustassa. Hotellin pihalla on jokin verran pysäköintitilaa ja lisää viereisellä ilmaisella parkkialueella. Huone oli mukavankokoinen ja siisti. Varustukseen kuuluu myös jääkaappi. Miinuspuolena huoneissa ei ole ilmastointia ja vielä elokuussakin huoneessa oli ikävän kuuma. Ikkunaa piti pitää auki ja siitä kantautui liikenteen melua. Heinäkuun helteillä on varmaankin ollut tukalaa. Huoneessa oli pöytätuuletin. Aamiainen oli oikein hyvä. Edellisessä vierailemassani hotellissa oli munakokkelia, mutta ei pekonia, täällä vastaavasti pekonia, mutta ei munakokkelia. Muuten kaikkea tarvittavaa löytyi. Hotellissa on runsaasti kokoustilaa, joissa on hyvä ilmastointi. Saunassa oli hyvät löylyt. Tämähän on entinen Scandic-hotelli ja entisen omistajan kädenjälki näkyy vielä monissa paikoissa (mikä on oikein postiivista). Asiakaspalvelu kaikkialla oli erinomaista!

Hotel Maakunta is a cozy, little hotel in the middle of Forssa. Alla the restaurants and Shops are on walking distance. The walking routes by the Loimijoki river are starting 200m from the Hotel.
Needs more focus on details

The hotel looks nice, kind of retro exterior and interior with matching decorations in the rooms. It is small and definately lacks the the chain hotel impersonality. There are also other things that would point out to high points - the lady who gave us the room was very helpful and cheerful personality - good parking facilities - the breakfast was ok - the sauna in our room was good (even though there was some strange odour in the showers outside of it) This kind of a hotel is, however, very much depending on the details that make the visitors feel taken care of with special attention - and this is where they failed: even if they knew when we were coming the heating of the room was turned very low. It was not nice to go to a room with ”too fresh” an air and freezing cold floor. We needed to go into the sauna when it was just below 50 degrees centigrate - to avoid shuttering. We had adjusted the floor heating immediately after arriving and therefore the floor was better when we arrived from our dinner four hours later. That was of course ok, but it was too late for us to give the hotel even four points. With that detail taken care of we would have fiven four or even five points (with the heating on and also no bad foul air in the shower, it would certainly have been full five points)

Reviewed By JuhaLeppI had bought a giftcard for my wife for Christmas present to this hotel and finally we made it. It was definitelly an experience to have. We were so lucky that we were the only ones to stay so we had private hotel. It was very cozy and you get close to the experience of staying outside in the. We slept exteremely well and peacefully. Staff was friendly and we felt welcome. Definitelly a place to visit if you look for an adventure!

Loistava sijainti kauniin kosken partaalla, historiallisen vesimyllyn vieressä, huoneesta näki suoraan koskelle ja kuuli kohinan. Rauhallinen huone, jossa mukava peti, siisti ja toimiva kylpyhuone. Huoneessa pieni jääkaappi. Korona-tilanteen takia aamiaista ei ollut tarjolla, lisäksi ympäristön ravintolat olivat osin kiinni, mutta keittiössä pystyi kokkailemaan omia ruokia. Vuokrasaunassa oli hyvät löylyt. Netti ei ollut aivan paras huoneessamme. Auton sai parkkiin pihaan ilmaiseksi. Vieressä Ranskalainen kyläkauppa, muutenkin kävelymatka tärkeimpiin palveluihin.

There is so much to do for everyone, or you can just relax and enjoy the beautiful country side and the delicious local food. Iloranta is located by the beautiful and clean lake, including many saunas, even a smoke sauna. I can warmly recommend Iloranta to everyone.

Reviewed By k_rolm2019we received accommodation at short notice. Old historic manor was very cozy and sauna house great. it is possible to grill sausages over a live fire! very tasty breakfast on the terrace from local food.
