We visited Taconooga on Saturday after wandering around North Shore for a bit. We started with the bean and cheese dip and then had a few tacos (carne asada and al pastor). The menu was surprisingly interesting (I was surprised to see things like huitlacoche!), but everything seemed underseasoned to me - from the beans of the bean and cheese dip to the meat in the tacos. Everything we tried was missing salt for sure. It's a fun spot though!

So I went because it was near the daughters apartment on a Sunday night. We were promptly served fresh hot tortilla chips and salsa. The waiter took our drink order standard coca cola for the family but the daughter ordered a jorchata (pronounced hor-chata) a traditional non alcoholic drink that is rice milk with cinnamon, sugar and other spices served over ice. She said it was good, we then ordered the queso dip for the table. It was standard cheese dip that you find at most Mexican restaurants. Then we ordered I got the la altena chimichanga. It was HUGE. I mean in the immortal words of Deadpool 9 inches of hot meaty well stuffed deep fried goodness what is not to love. It was a massive round tortilla that was stuffed with chicken, chorizo, and beef I believe as well as fried onions and green and red bell peppers. Topped with the white queso sauce, and a side of refried beans, spanish rice, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. I left stuffed. But the real winner was the service. We were a party of 6 and I drink a lot (diabetic) the waiter kept us refilled we never had to flag him down and when we ate all the queso my son asked for more and he gave us a second serving and I did not see it charged to the bill. Good food, Great service, plenty of food and he kept refilling our chips and they were always fresh. Definitely going back to this satellite location. The one in Red Bank/Chattanooga near mountain creek rd.

If you are visiting Signal Mountain, DON'T forget to stop at the foot of the mountain and eat the BEST Mexican food at the El Monterrey! Food is excellent! All dishes are great! DON"T FORGET YOUR GUACAMOLE! You'll want more!

The atmosphere in this restaurant is appealing, the service is top notch and the food is delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and was always topping off the drinks. Everyone ordered a different entree and everyone was very happy with their choice. The mango salsa on the taco salad made the dish!

So I met some friends with their kids at Pumpkin Patch playground and the plan was for the kids to play while the moms ordered the food and when the food got there we could call the kids over. We sat out on the back porch because the weather was amazing. So we ordered for the kids and ourselves and called the kids over when the food got there. So that alone makes this place neat because parents can enjoy a nice conversation before the food arrives while the kids play. You can go off the porch down a little path to the playground and even see the kids from the porch. Very cool. I ordered a vegetarian combo and they have typical kids food if your kids won't eat mexican. I ordered the kids chicken fingers and fries and grilled cheese and fries. Only Pepsi products unfortunately. The server was kinda grumpy for some reason but he did a good job with handling all the food. We had a pretty big group of 3 moms and 7 kids. Food was okay. would go back again because that is cool you can let the kids go down and play while you eat. Prices were very reasonable.

What a great experience, we really enjoy the atmosphere, the service and the food ! The service was fun & personal, very attentive, looking for feedback on the food and flavors, the Memphis Nachos were exceptional layers of goodness. An artistic mix of pull pork, corn slaw a sweet BBQ sauce and some cheese goodness water down with some Dos Perros and repeat ! . Tacos were on the point with creative shrimps done perfectly ! Again a great experience

Mojo Burrito is a small chain of Mexican inspired restaurants in the Chattanooga area. You walk up to an assembly line with several employees doing their thing and passing it down the line...youâre involved in the assembly process as the architect and designer. They typically have about 6 beers, and by that I mean good beers, on tap. Others are available in cans or bottles. The vibe is very good, I guess you can call it a feel good kind of place. Also, if the line is long, do not be dismayed as it move quick.

El Metate has the best Mexican food of any Mexican restaurant I visited throughout the USA! They offer a great variety of dishes. Have very good friendly service. And their prices are reasonable. I vote El Metate best Mexican restaurant in the entire USA!
