Reviewed By birdmargA wonderful place to stop for an overnight to break up a long broad trip. The room was clean and very accessible. The free breakfast was lovely - plenty of options for all tastes. The only suggestion we have is to use less scented air freshener in the rooms.

Reviewed By williamvR2244EUSpent one night here and had a very unpleasant experience. The problems with the room were numerous. The sink was half filled with water when I went to use it and the drain cover was inoperable. It remained filled with water during my stay. The minuscule toilet seat (I am 6'2" and weight 181 lbs) was virtually unusable for an average size adult; in addition, the seat would not stay up. The walls were very thin and when another customer banged against it from his room, the headboard of my bed on which I was sitting slammed into the back of my head. My room faced the parking lot and since the heavy curtains did not close all the way, my room was lit throughout the night. The two young women on the desk were overwhelmed with guests checking in. On checkout, I asked for a refund and was given a 20 percent discount.

The Marguerite Motel is centrally located, just one-block to Hampton Beach and 3 blocks to the center of all beach activities. We offer non-smoking rooms in a family friendly atmosphere. All rooms are equipped with 32" flat panel TVs, a small refrigerator, air conditioning and private bathrooms. We have several rooms also equipped with a kitchenette or a small efficiency unit. Free parking is available on site for one car per room. Our heated pool is a center of activity for all guests to enjoy. From here you can walk to the sandy beach (approximately 5-10 minutes) or the beach center (approximately 10-15 minutes). We are close to several restaurants and shops.

Clean and close to downtown
Reviewed By ChrisJ358This hotel was very clean, quiet, and a great deal. It is not too far from the main drag into downtown Portsmouth. It can be a little tricky with traffic, but once you find the back entrance near the bed bath and beyond store, it is really easy. I didn’t hear a peep all night. Very clean and neat.

Breakers by the Sea is in a prime location away from all the traffic and right across the street from the ocean. Our rooms have spectacular views, some have private balconies, and alll have full kitchenettes. We are about a ten minute walk from local activities like the Hampton Beach Casino and the Sea Shell. Experienced staff will be in place this year.

The owner was very accommodating, the housekeeping was immaculate in detail and the girls were also very friendly and met us with smiles. Its a small beach hotel, I almost felt the vibe of a Bed and Breakfast with the staff and homey décor. Double bonus, it is Veteran Owned. I really have not one complaint, I tried to think of one, but there just isn't. If your expecting the Ritz, this place isn't for you. Mom and pops, come as strangers, leave as family type of atmosphere.

Reviewed By mbland96LOVED our stay at the Rye Motor Inn. Adorable building and decor - retro and funky. Loved the pool and chairs- felt like a real vacation! Check in and check out was a breeze. Access to a rocky beach/ ocean across the street too and only 10 min drive to Portsmouth. My only "cons" were that the shower was not very warm and we had to leave the pool by 11 on check out day. I would have loved to stay a bit longer! Thank you! Will come back!

This is my 2nd year staying with Nautical. With a group a 25, they were so accommodating with parking/dates/early check in etc. Staff was very professional and friendly making sure to check in and say hi in passing and even offered to help clean the next morning when checking out if needed. I have nothing negative to say about nautical. Great people, great location. And already booked for next year (:

Reviewed By kjdkjdHad a very pleasant stay! Clean, nice hostess. Will be back. The owner is a very nice and checked in on us by text how are stay was going. Heated pool was great after the beach to dip into. On the quieter end of Hampton Beach which I enjoyed and easy walk to all entertainment.

Bad tidings at the Tides
Reviewed By Mark PWe stayed here a few days in October, 2021 and there was a nice staff and it’s clean. The air conditioner works. BUT: No closet. No fan in bath. No operable window in bath. No back window. Room is dark: Front windows had to be curtained at all times because people walk by. Poor lighting — no lamps, only three bright ceiling lights with a switch near the door (at night you have to get up from bed to switch lights off.) The walls are thin: You can hear upstairs guests talking and walking so loudly it sounds like they are in your room! The tv looked promising, it is full of channels, but everything I clicked on was “unavailable.” There is one night table for two beds.

A Place to Crash When Everywhere Else is Booked
Reviewed By emily_m_k4I had to attend a wedding in Portsmouth and every other hotel in town was booked. The building is very old and the rooms need a lot of updating. It's a place to stay if you absolutely need it, but there are much better options in the surrounding area. My room did not have a kitchen, but there are a lot of local take out options.
