A historical inn originally built in 1796 that was completely renovated in 2001. All guest rooms have a beautiful view of the Wood River. The rooms have private bathrooms with jacuzzi tubs, seasonal fireplaces, cable TV and free WiFi.

The pictures and paintings on the wall were great the room and the entire inn was very clean. and comfortable the jacuzzi was great the personal touches birthday card and wine glasses were perfect Thank you to Audrey and Trish your warm hospitality was great Also special thank you to Doreen who made this possible It was a great getaway will be back Also thank you to the Inn Keepers Deb and Bill Bokon what a great job you have done be very proud

Located 3 minutes from a Bay beach and Wickford village. Ten minutes from Newport, University of Rhode Island, ocean beaches, shops, restaurants and attractions. We are open year round and have clean, economical accommodations on a scenic road.

Reviewed By Y1590KZrobinfI stayed at this motel for an overnight on October 23-24, 2021. The room was a hot-mess: dead bugs on the furniture and on the ceiling; bedspread and sheets had dirt on/in them; smudges on the walls (all different colors and places); I found a pill on the floor; black mold in the shower caulking; splatterings of who knows what on the fridge; ripped screens; no draperies; stains on the furniture and upholstery; electrical plugs didn’t work; unkept AC/heater unit; I found a phone book in the nightstand drawer dated 2014; no cups for water or coffee; and I’m pretty sure half the coffee maker was missing. I had inquired about a new room, but was told they had none available. The amount of cars outside my section of the hotel told a much different story. I contemplated sleeping in my car but I was running a marathon the next day and needed to get some kind of sleep. Do yourself a favor, do NOT stay here. The price may be right, but it’s not worth staying in filth.

Remote Location with Potential
Reviewed By HappytravelinfamilyWe stayed for one night. Rooms were a good size and recently renovated. There was a musty smell but once we shut off the fan off for the AC it seemed to go away. Hotel front desk is very pleasant. We did eat at the restaurant and the food was ok.

Reviewed By ASparrow1234I can't stop raving about our stay at Shepherd's Run. It's so beautiful, the location is fabulous (about 7 minutes from all of the beaches, towns in the area,) and every single person who works there is a delight. We will definitely be back asap!

Finding an ideal budget friendly small hotel in Westerly does not have to be difficult. Welcome to Point 1 Resort, a nice option for travelers like you. Guest rooms offer a refrigerator and air conditioning, and Point 1 Resort makes getting online easy as free wifi is available. In addition, guests can enjoy barbeque facilities during their visit. As an added convenience, there is free parking available to guests. Given the close proximity of popular landmarks, such as Mrs. Potato Head Statue (1.8 mi) and Florence Nightingale's Nursing Cap (2.7 mi), guests of Point 1 Resort can easily experience some of Westerly's most well known attractions. Westerly has plenty of cafes. So when you’re here, be sure to check out popular spots like Cooked Goose, 55 Beach Street Cafe, and Junk N Java, which are serving up some great dishes. Westerly is also known for some great art galleries, including Artists' Cooperative Gallery of Westerly and Black Duck Gallery, which are not too far from Point 1 Resort. Reviewed By 404kelleycThe location of this "resort", LOL, was fine. The rooms leave much to be desired. They take absolutely no pride in this establishment. The air conditioners that are built into the wall have obviously NEVER been cleaned. I was coughing all night and my throat was aching. We were afraid to sleep on the sheets, so we had to resort to sleeping on top of the bed, which did not give us much more peace of mind. I wouldn't stay there again if it were free...

Bad Experience
Reviewed By Elaine RThe place is basically a Dump. It doesn't look bad from the outside, but the rooms are very sorry-looking and worn out. The place lacks the basic amenities for the most basic motel room - phone, clock, tissues, ice. The beds were horribly soft. The best thing was the frig, which was big enough to freeze some water. I checked in about 5:30 PM on a busy summer day and had to wait a long time for someone to show up to check me in. Most places would have the Office staffed at that hour. There was supposed to be a coffee maker, but it was missing and I needed one. I asked someone from the owner's family; she said she'd look for one, but of course I never got it. I asked the housekeeper the next day and she was able to find one for me. The owners are quite surly, as others have noted. She stands at the pitiful breakfast bar and watches you like a hawk. It made me feel very uncomfortable. Take a look at the owners' responses to other negative reviews and you can see the surly attitude. I believe any excellent reviews were posted by the owners.
