Bondi Trattoria

Looking down over the iconic Bondi Beach, the Tratt is a true Sydney local. For 32 years this restaurant has served modern Italian food made from the best Australian ingredients and a full bar offering Australian and Italian wines, spirits and liqueurs. U

The Bondi restaurant scene is constantly changing, but the Tratt remains a reliable local favourite. After the most recent facelift it’s cooler and more expensive than before. But the prices are still reasonable, the service is high standard, and the food ranges from good to very good. If in doubt, the pizzas and pasta never disappoint. Thanks for your kind words. We took over the Tratt just over two years ago now and we did give it a little facelift, but we wanted the space to continue being relaxed, but professional and overall welcoming. Somewhere for a fancy date night, somewhere for a bowl of pasta and a glass of wine, somewhere for a breezy breakfast, and many things in between. We make pasta in house now, and the sourdough culture for our pizzas is two years strong now too. We hope we're not too cool though! Thanks again, we look forward to welcoming you again soon at the Tratt.

Had dinner here with 7 friends. Was excited at the set dinner menu. Can’t fault the food (5/5)However, the service and delay in drink orders (sometimes needing 3 reminders) was hugely disappointing. They could benefit from a great manager that can instil some really good service principles in the wait and bar staff (1/5).Also had issues with a final bill - they added a compulsory gratuity.Overall disappointing. Giving this place a 3/5 ratingThank you for your feedback.

The best Italian restaurant in Sydney. Delicious handmade ravioli, generous and tasty portions of pasta. Pizza is like the one you eat in Naples, if not better. The chef is an Artist. Excelent service and friendly and helpful staff, if you could give more stars I would give it, go to Pizza Boccone and you'll come back for sure. Thank you!

I always considered this place the bees knees of pizza... and gelato in Sydney.... but having been back after many years I’ve since had much better/more traditional pizza and gelato.I’m not sure if this place has changed hands or lost touch but the pizzas were bland and lacked flavour. The price was also ridiculous for what you got... tiny portionsGelato as so watery..... not creamy and tasty like I remember it being on par with Messina. I’m sad to say this place has gone down hill since the early 2000s when it opened! Only thing that was good was the service, nice people & helpful. So the 2 stars are for the staff not the food! Or value for money

The Bella vista cafe is the only place to get food and drinks if you’re visiting north head but unfortunately it’s not as great as it could be. The service is slow for food and drinks. The place where you pay for your table service or order take away is situated in the thoroughfare of customers getting in and out of the restaurant and it just causes chaos when they get busy. Customers don’t know where to stand or queue so it’s fristrating with people queue jumping. The staff forgot our order a few times so by the time we got our milkshakes we had finished our chips. Lucky I saw my coffee was ready or that would have been cold waiting for the milkshakes they forgot about. They have the best of intentions and once you get the food it is delicious but they need to sort out the service to be able to really shine. There’s seating inside and out but on a nice day there would be a little bit of a wait. But there’s nothing stopping you ordering and taking away whilst you explore north head.

We enjoyed the "Stressless Sunday" 5 course degustation dinner at $79 / person on Father's Day.As always the dishes are interesting & diverse & not too filling.Their organic wholemeal sourdough bread with homemade Ricotta is a great start. The only disappointments were that there was no menu to explain what the 5 dishes were & that there are no Australian or New Zealand wines available by the glass.Grazie mille Richard! We are pleased you enjoyed the Stressless Sunday menu, as it's a great way to experience some past and present dishes at Ormeggio. The whole aim of the evening is that it is the chefs way of being creative and designing a menu quite à la minute, therefore, we do not provide a menu on this particular evening. The team did explain each dish to you on the evening as this is standard and a very important procedure. As we are an Italian restaurant we do mainly provide Italian wines, however, we do have a number of Australian wines by the bottle. We hope to see you again soon.

Amazing place with delicious italian food, not cheap but its a very comfortable atmosphere to have a delicious dinner. The only detail was that we were sitting down in a row of tables for 2 people and you can hear and see whatever the other couples on the side are doing and viceversa, so that makes it a little weird but at least the food is great!

Hugos Manly

Set on the Manly Wharf where the ferry docks this restaurant is in a splendid position and many seats and tables have excellent views to Sydney Harbour and the beach next to the wharf. Staff were pleasant though food arrived slowly suggesting the kitchen was struggling. Still my oysters were utterly splendid while the crispy skin barramundi was perhaps overcooked. The sweet potato and ginger mash had no taste of anything except sweet potato and the brown sauce did nothing for the fish. Other courses chosen by my husband were certainly generous and I gather the battered fish of the fish and chips was excellent. The starter of meat balls in a tomato sauce was like a main meal so starter prices were barely less than those for mains. And the martini was ridiculously expensive. $190+ for two courses, two glasses of wine and two cocktails is steep in anyone’s money for this food.
