Reviewed By Mausy_HerbFrom the phone call with Janelle when booking this accommodation (explaining exactly where the motel is located) I just knew it would be a great place to stay overnight and an excellent rate. Arrived around 5.30pm and checked into our room and were very happy and surprised that the aircon was on and our room was lovely and warm- just a little detail means a lot. Decided to have the takeaway Chinese and went to office there and the ladies helped us out with crockery and cutlery and a couple of wine glasses and we decided to have a drink with our dinner. Very clean and definitely recommend a stay here anytime - we will be back again Thanks again for your hospitality and warm and friendly staff. Regards H&M

Reviewed By grannygoannaCheckin was easy. The room was large with an extra bedroom and was clean. However the place is very dated, smelled a bit musty, and has quite a few permanant residents. Bathroom was clean but very small. It's not anything like the photos on the website, but it was ok for our one night stay, but wouldn't stay here again.

Reviewed By lornaedrNo wifi provided despite advertising free wifi. Excuse is poor area reception despite us being able to access it at local RSL. Average beds. Fan and light on one switch in bathroom so showering in cold weather is freezing. No separate light available to cut out fan. Good position as it’s distant from road so it’s nice and quiet.

Reviewed By John LGreat location, friendly host and easy access to local restaurants, the Country Club and the beach. Nearby Trial Bay Gaol historic site and Smoky Bay Lighthouse are great places visit and easy to get to from the Rockpool Motor Inn. We would certainly stay there again.

The motel is located on 5 acres of parkland set well back from the road & is a quiet place to unwind, sit amongst the trees, enjoy the wildlife or watch your children kick a ball in safety. Our rooms are very clean & spacious with parking at the door. Ample for trucks, trailers etc. We are a pet friendly motel . Located 1/2 way between Syd & Brisbane. The Slim Dusty center is 200 meters away with beaches & other interesting places close by. We provide room service for dinner & breakfast with the exception of Sunday evenings. Our motel offers free WIFI & pool for use in the warmer months. Your hosts, Jason and Nicole, are welcoming hosts & take pride in caring for the needs of their guests. BOOK DIRECT & SAVE!!

The room was clean and kept clean and the staff were really friendly and willing to help with any enquiry we had which was much appreciated. Definately recoment a stay here. Had a game of squash on the court and used the BBQ daily. didnt swim in the pool which looked fine ,all be it a little small, but saw a young family enjoying it. Used the laundry facillities on the last day. overall it was very good for the price. It's a reasonable walk to town centre but we drove to most places. Have to try really hard to fault it, the fridge was a little noisy buts thats about it.

The Motel Kempsey is all about quality and affordability. Located just 1km South of the city centre the Motel Kempsey is your home away from home. 19 Ground floor units with parking at the door. Saltwater pool with separate toddlers pool, BBQ and guest laundry. Table, chairs and ashtrays outside each unit .Enjoy a BBQ while you watch your kids swim in the pool or laze by the poolside enjoying a good book.

What a start to our honeymoon

From the first call to book on the day, to our divine (upgraded room) to meeting the lovely Lynn who was servicing the rooms we were thrilled I called 2 hours prior to arriving and spoke to a fabulous representative. When advised it was the first night of our honeymoon she congratulated us and was so warm and kind. Upon arrival the delightful lady upgraded us and welcomed us to The Med. We enquired about accessing pool towels, she went out of her way to pop them by the pool for us while we settled into our gorgeous room. The room was divine and in keeping with the vibe of the motel. We met Lynn on our way out for breakfast and she enquired if we were happy with our stay. She was genuine and delightful. A fabulous ambassador for The Med. We were chatting and expressed interest in the Penthouse. Lynn welcomed us to have a look. She took time to show us around and point out options also within the rest of the property. We are now planning a return trip with friends

After having booked a room over the phone, two hours later, when i called to make the payment, they had already double booked and said there's nothing they can do about it. They then decided to simply hang up.
