I have been here several times and it is always beautiful. It is perfect for coffee with friends or a glass of wine and light, simple food, such as the Ploughmanâs Board. It is set in an 1890s heritage naval cottage, sitting right above Clifton Gardens beach and overlooking Sydney Harbour.The owners clearly have a passion for the place, as well as a flair for styling. The interior is just so pretty - cosy lounges in the front room and tables with harbour views in the back room and gorgeous homewares (the designer goodies are also for sale). TIPS:- The only difficulty with this spot is the parking. The cottage is right down the very end of Chowder Bay Road. There is a reasonable amount of metred parking but it can be full or you may have to park and walk down. - There are several lovely walks in this area. You can walk down to Clifton Gardens Beach or join the Bradley Head to Chowder Bay bushland trail for wonderful harbour views.

We were celebrating a birthday with 4 adults and 3 infants, which was always going to be a challenge. The wait staff were amazing and very patient. They looked after us with delicious food and great coffee. Although I thought the food was expensive for the usual breakfast fare, the beautiful setting and wonderful service made it very worthwhile. Everything served had that home made touch and the corn fritters are highly recommended . Will definitely be back.

The Bella vista cafe is the only place to get food and drinks if youâre visiting north head but unfortunately itâs not as great as it could be. The service is slow for food and drinks. The place where you pay for your table service or order take away is situated in the thoroughfare of customers getting in and out of the restaurant and it just causes chaos when they get busy. Customers donât know where to stand or queue so itâs fristrating with people queue jumping. The staff forgot our order a few times so by the time we got our milkshakes we had finished our chips. Lucky I saw my coffee was ready or that would have been cold waiting for the milkshakes they forgot about. They have the best of intentions and once you get the food it is delicious but they need to sort out the service to be able to really shine. Thereâs seating inside and out but on a nice day there would be a little bit of a wait. But thereâs nothing stopping you ordering and taking away whilst you explore north head.

We visited this place on s sunday morning, 9 oâclock, didnât expect anything to be open at that time. But luckily we found InSitu, serving a good coffee and a nice breakfast. Huge fruitsalad and yoghurt, and a good salmon sandwich.

Weak coffee and exceptionally slow service. Can only assume they were short staffed as the coffee maker was constantly darting out to take an order or direct a plate. We love visiting the Four Frogs Creperie in Mosman. The galettes and crepes are delicious and the service is outstanding too. It is lovely being served by French staff who take such pride in sharing their food from home. It is a favourite place to visit.

Service is poor. We waited for ages for someone to come near us and then even longer for our food/drinks to arrive. It wasn't especially busy and there seemed to be plenty of serving staff around. It's a sweet little place, expensive for what it was, in a beautiful location overlooking the sea.Hopefully it will improve!
