This hidden place has a nice and cosy ambiance. Food was very good (and typical Portuguese), with very low price. I was really amazed by the quality/price relation.The dinning room is a bit small and the service is not very efficient. But the staff is very friendly and really tries to do their best (which means they do all they know how, although the result is not that amazing).In Sintra, outside of the touristic center, as a local, I really recommend a visit to this place!

Friends books us into INcomum, and we all had a lovely evening. The room is tight and friendly, the server chose a lovely vino verde and we all had delicious meals. Two of the group ordered the tasting menu which was delicious and substantial.

Amazing find! we had no prior familiarity with CAFE DA NATALIA. We do now, the locals call us lucky. The friendliness of the staff is great, without being intrusive, and they take a real pleasure in the fact that you have enjoyed their sensational pastries. great coffees , patio is lovely , always packed with customers! we marked this as one of our favorites

Felt like home; welcoming staff, super food, the cafe itself is lovingly decorated with respect to its history of cheese cake making & Portuguese decorations. We had a lovely time in the Chalet & the Cafe..thank you to all the staff; &The gardener as well who watered everyday & made sure the chairs were all set out Dear grahamjuls,Thank you so much! After a long hike to the Castle and back I looked for a place to eat in the historical city centre. At that time it was already 14.00h and Sintra was packed on tourists. After 10 minutes I found this little restaurant where they serve simple but very tasteful lunches (and more) for a reasonable price. I had the codfish burger first. Unfortunately they run out of spinach, but they informed me and discussed the options. So, I ate the codfish with a fresh salad and it was very nice! I finished with a dessert, which I unfortunately forgot to photograph. It looked beautiful and tasted great.I can recommend this place for a lunch. Especially when you, like me, enjoy the more authentic places.Thank you Steph for your recomendation and positive feedback on our Bistro Rotas e Ruelas.
