A Magical Place To Stay and Great Value For Money
Reviewed By ventnoralWe were looking for a place to stay near Sintra for a few days summer break and this was one of the few available at an affordable price, so we booked it but did not expect too much. How wrong we were and I cannot imagine finding anywhere nearly so good. Being partly disabled, it was great having parking by the gate and only about 12 metres from the ground floor apartment. The owner, Marco, was very kind and ultra helpful, keeping us well supplied with a good range of breakfast food, tea, coffee, milk and juice. Not only that, but there were also always a couple of bottles of wine on hand! The apartment, or I should really say, house, is spacious and comfortable, with beds for three in the upstairs bedroom, a well fitted kitchen, a bathroom that was well supplied with toiletries and plenty of fresh towels and a comfortable living room with TV. There is WiFi everywhere, even in the lovely tranquil garden, with its ponds of giant colourful fish and of course, plentiful Bonsai trees. The "smokers" gazebo is such a comfortable spot, that even non-smokers like me found it a delightful place to relax and let the world go by! Thank you Marco and hopefully we will be back. Good value of money, excellent staff, great location
Reviewed By AliskaK1Hostel has good location close to the train #28 station and metro, it's not far from city center. Has great, helpful and friendly staff. Elevator was working all the time. We stayed in the 2d floor, room was next to the kitchen and bathroom, view was to the yard so we didn't street hear noise at all. We liked that room had wooden floor, was quiet, clean. We used fridge, kettle, microwave. We had European breakfast in the cafe Negrita next opposite to the hostel, food was good, staff cared about us well. We were exploring Lisbon, walking, going in the morning and coming back late. Good value of money and good location.

Very clean and spacious room
Reviewed By Vitor AThis is not a hotel but a residential which means to be less luxurious. Having that in mind it´s a place to stay when visiting this Portuguese region. The staff is very friendly and the room is very spacious and above all very clean. The only thing which could be improved it’s the variety of products in the breakfast. Enjoy!

Quinta da Mimosa is a rustic house surrounded by ample gardens with a seasonal pool and lounge area. The property is a 45-minute drive away from Portela airport and offers a patio with each accomodation. The typically rural-style apartments are all air conditioned and include a TV, a private bathroom and an equipped kitchenette. All have a view of the farm's luscious gardens. Breakfast is available for the Mimosa guests, and light meals or barbecues can be served by the pool upon request. For more meal options, the front desk staff can organize restaurant reservations. Guests of this Fajarda property can also enjoy the bar, lighted playground and ping-pong table. Free bicycles are readily available to explore the Coruche region.
We loved it
Reviewed By AliceMMPA4 adults and one 4 year old child, stayed for 3 nights and loved it! The place is confortable, quiet, have a really nice pool area, excellent breakfast. We can ride a bike, play football, play ping pong, foozeball for free! The kids can play and run through out with safety. We can even go for a small walk, jogging or do some exercises in the leisure/sports area in the back. In our country house we had an awesome barbecue with a table and chairs outside. Inside, a kitchen with all the basic utinsiles. It's a 7km drive to Coruche village center. We recommend this place for a few days of relax with piece and quiet! The owners Mr. Acácio and Ms. Maria are very friendly, lovely and helpfull couple! They made our stay very pleasent with a very home fell like!

Luis is a good host but..
Reviewed By Sonja VLuis is a good host and very helpful. Although, it would be nice to make a cup of thee in the evening, some watercooker and cups in the room. Also, I would not change the towels every day and save on that and would forsee a waterbooiler, some glases and cups and biothee. No plastic cups plse. Could be a little cleaner also but breakfast was fine and thx again for the fresh lemon!

Property was moldy, smelly. Decided to stay elsewhere. Property owner decided to steal our money anyway
Reviewed By marietacaeBooked in april. Upon arrival, room was not ready. Nevertheless, the entire house smelled , there was visible mold everywhere. For health reasons we decided to stay elsewhere. Property owner states that "this is to be expected from an old property". We'd rather not die there, thank you! Property owner charged our credit card anyway and refused to refund, stating that it was our choice not to spend the night there. We strongly recommend AGAINST staying here. Unless you want your money stolen.

Reviewed By David GCentrally located. Steeper access to the rooms (which were basic) than we were expecting. The bathroom was quite intimidating and the notice not to discard paper into the toilet but to place in the bin alongside was a first for us. The half-glazed door positioned just in front of the toilet was also different. Cash only - no credit card facilities apparently - and paid on arrival - no breakfast (but cafes nearby) and no wifi - although Coimbra is a free wifi city. No parking but there is some above and below ground nearby but be aware of the opening and closing times.

Just for a night
Reviewed By Carranto67The town of Obidos is lovely, but I don't think I would go back to that house. Communicating with the owner via email or whatsapp is almost impossible. The navigator seemed to have gone mad, and we also risked some fines. Only by telephone we managed to get in touch with the owner, who immediately came to us. The parking is right opposite the house. It is presented by the owner as a typical Portuguese home, but some maintenance work should definitely be done. The bathrooms have old fixtures, with taps that supply hot and cold water separately. In the summer it can also be accepted, but in winter I see it difficult. The panoramic garden could be livable, but only with some repairs here and there, care of the plants, and new chairs and tables. Even the cleaning in general was not at the best...not to mention the towels that smelled. Decent breakfast, even if we had to wait for the owner at 9.00. My two sons were happy because they had the upper floor available, with 2 separate bedrooms, even if they complained about the taps, too.

Reviewed By Inês LWelcoming and cozy! Lovely breakfast! The rooms are clean and spacious! Right in the centre of Cantanhede, very close to Coimbra! We all enjoyed and had a good time! There is a nice terrace to spend time with friends.
