Absolutely amazing stay
Reviewed By earthjujo96Everything about this place is magical. The mountain views, the shale houses, the people, the staff (everyone was super nice!). The breakfast is really good, and taking it overlooking the mountain just made it that more special (and tasty!). The room (we stayed at Casa da Nogueira) was just perfect: the bed was really super cozy, the kitchenette very well equipped and the bathroom clean and well lit. The fireplace is the cherry on top, providing a really comfy setting for the apartment. Additionally, the design of the place and its contents is super tasteful and modern, but also in line with the surround environment of calm, quiet mountain beauty. On top of all of the amazing things within the apartment alone, being able to walk out of this little corner into the refreshing mountain air and the wondrous peaks and hills of Serra da Lousã is just a pleasure beyond belief. An experience to repeat for sure!

Nice and well located wood houses
Reviewed By sergiodrcostaThe chalets are located in Penhas da Saúde, which is a good location for someone who’s planning to stay in Serra da Estrela with easy access to the top. Built in wood, the houses are cozy and warm. Since there was cold and raining/snowing, the access to the entrance was icy and slippery. This potentially dangerous situation could’ve been addressed by the staff and easily avoided. The house floor could be better cleaned.

Excellent hotel in the middle of the action
Reviewed By Niels-FernandaThis hotel is managed by the Lawrence's Hotel where the check-in is. Guests at the Casa do Arco can make use of the facilities within the Lawrence's. The Casa dos Arco is being renovated. We didn't have a fridge, it was in the closed hall and needed to divided by 2 rooms for the time being, no problem. The 2 lower rooms are hard to get to if you are not steady on your feet, a dozen stone steps to go gown, and up to. Bathroom very clean but needs to be renovated in the future. Shower only. Breakfast in the hotel was excellent. As in the rest of Sintra parking is a disaster. Hotel very central to the main sightseeing locations and can be reached on foot. The 2 castles need to be reached by bus. Hotel very quiet at night. Front desk one of the most helpful we came across in Portugal, keep up the good work!

Reviewed By Sónia LFrom the moment we arrived everything conspired to be a true back to basics stay. The traditional house made of shale stonework combining ancient construction with modern comfort and amenities was lovely. The pleasure of seeing the fire on the wood burning stove unforgettable. The green scenery that surrounds the houses is breathtaking and if you're a track lover - congrats! - you just found your private corner of paradise. Beautiful mill-pounds and water streams along flowery paths and hills covered in wildflowers look like a painting. Also, a special word of affection for Fernanda and her husband - our hosts - who received us with open arms and hearts. Also, we must remember dear Esmeralda whose conversation we enjoyed so much. One last note about the many pampering and the absolutely to die for delights we enjoyed in their restaurant. Be sure you book dinner for the time you stay. We were already back after our first stay, and we intend to return to this place because home is where the heart is.

Vilar Dos Condes is a Silent Sanctuary where traditions of Beira Baixa are still what they were, 6 cottages in Shale in the heart of the pine forest and river Zezere waiting. Walking, biking or boating perfectly in tune with nature. Come from there to here.

Reviewed By Happiness796785I had a good time at Nic`s Glamping. The place is quiet and beautiful. And I loved the breakfast. It contained of fresh made orange juice, fresh fruit, oats, yoghurt and freshly roasted sunflower seeds. Tasted just great! Look at the picture below.

This is a fabulously renovated schist and located in such a peaceful and tranquil area, you cannot not be captivated by the wonderful location, fresh air and the stars at night. A truly delicious breakfast awaits you from the hosts with their home made preserves. Be happy people and enjoy this beautiful place.

Had an excellent local food meal. The place is magical, the landscape is breathtaking and you feel far from everything, just what you need! Highly recommend... ?

Magical place - healing home for the soul

Overlooking the green Lousã-Jungle, the wooden Terrasse was my resourcing and creative spot - perfect for yoga, a morning coffee, inspiration, or the copo do Vinho along with a lovingly made dinner ✨? I will definitely come back with my mum to enable her the magical experience as well! The place is only one side, the people are what gives Cerdiera Home for Creativity it‘s peaceful family character. Very passionate and kind souls?? I felt so warmly taken care of, whenever I needed something! I spent my day hiking the incredible green paradise (yes, paradise!) and shist villages (of which I think Cerdeira is for sure the most beautiful one) and unluckily got lost at dawn, Ricardo saved me that night picking me up and bringing me home?? Muito Obrigada Cerdeira Village! Love, Emily

On a beautiful ridge just outside Batalha, between olive trees, are our 4 bungalows in typical Portugese colors and a main building with 3 guest-rooms located. The terrace with view includes a large swimming-pool. We want to welcome and treat our guests as we would like to be treated ourselves. It is our privilege to introduce our guests to the beauty and flavors that Portugal has to offer.
