We went to this restaurant because it was ranked in TA among the top Japanese restaurants in Taipei. Yet the food was uninspiring, mediocre at best. In fact, it was the meal in Taipei we least enjoyed. We soon found the reason for the placeâs high ranking. As we were obviously foreigners, the manager/owner said that if we posted a five-star review on TA he would give us a free appetizer. Apparently, they have been using this practice to boost their ratings, because nothing else would explain their being ranked the 17th best restaurant in Taipei. This is unfortunate, because it really takes away from the rankingâs credibility. Lesson learned: we will still check TAâs listings, but take the ratings with a grain of salt.Hi there,I'm really sorry that you did not enjoy or satisfy our seafood we offered. I appreciated for your feedback but I believe you must misunderstand something. We just would like to encourage our guests to give us feedback and ratings via TA. We've never asked the guests to give us 5stars ratings. Also, if our food is not good or with high quality, I believe there will be no guests to give us high ratings just because some little appetizer. Our TA ratings come from different nationalities and cities. All of them are voluntarily. It's really not easy to gain the ratings and we respected all guests no matter good or bad feedback. However, we also need to defense our good will if needed. I can guarantee we offered the most fresh and best quality of seafood in Taipei City. Perhaps our staffs did not introduce you our signatures or meet your needs and preference. This is a good value choice for Japanese all you can eat buffet. There is a good range of options- sashimi bar, a number of nigiri and maki which are laid out as well. They also have a hand roll station. There is a carving station for beef , tempura, very good fried rice, a range of Japanese dishes. The dessert area has an extensive range of cakes and sweets , and there is free flow beer and wine along with many soft drinks. The quality is ok, this will not be the best Japanese food you have but it is pretty good overall and you will be satisfied. The value is incredible for what you get, only about 540 NT for adults and 360 for kids under 12.

It's our first time at the restaurant and the waitress offered to show us how to grill the meat and introduce the different types of meat to us. The set we ate is for 2 pax but the 4 of us had a filled tummy after finishing the food. Variety was good with seafood, different cuts and types of beef, chicken, pork collar, 2 bowls of rice, 2 deserts and 2 drinks(fillable). They offered to change the grill almost everytime we change the type of meat we grill. The price is definitely cheaper than the equivalent restaurants we visited in Singapore.

Excellent food and service. Itâs always an experience eating at this place. Itâs expensive by Taipei standards but the meats were of outstanding quality, and the service really friendly and efficient. The beef was definitely the highlight but we also had some really fresh locally-sourced veggies, as well as yummy Taiwanese chicken marinated in miso. Booking is extremely difficult - we only managed to score a table out of fluke (thank you for whoever cancelled last minute!) but itâs worth the 3-4 weeksâ advance planning. Will be back - if we manage to book again!

I had a customized service to celebrate the birthday. The restaurant offered a customized menu with names and messages which made the celebration much more memorable. The foods are fresh and unique. The servers are very friendly.
