Reviewed By OleB61The Fun Inn has dorm rooms with purposely carpentered built-in bunk bed arrangements. Each bed comes with it's own locker. The key card opens the main door, room door and locker. The location is great, 10 minutes walk from the main train station where the express train from the airport is. Lots of good food close by and the food night market at Jiantian is just 8 minutes away on the Red line MRT from the main station.

I was pleasantly surprised that it offered the same amenities as most hotels except for the shared bathrooms and pantry stuff. This hostel had a great location, very near the Taipei main station, convenience stores, malls..basically walking distance to almost anything you need. The place is very clean. We were surprised that the beds in the rooms were really big and comfy, it didn't look like that in the pictures, so WOW! Staff was super nice and very helpful. Everything was clean. I would definitely book another stay here!

Expensive part of megacity
Reviewed By Detlef ZShort distance to the airport and walkable to nearby Mass Transit Railway station. Recently renovated but the job is haphazardly done, may be even rushed. Good prices we got but this is an expensive part of Taipei. Close to many fast food joints. Staffs here need a bit of training in customer service.

Reviewed By MinhngocbpNear the park, near the bus station and MRT. Near many nice coffee shop and high rates restaurants. Can walk to Chiang Kai-shek memorial plaza. Nice and friendly design. The room is a bit small but it's ok to a hotel in central. Quite clean, we can leave our luggage after checking out from the room, then take them back after city trip.

A bed that gives headache and fever
Reviewed By Luke AThis is the third time I am staying here, for its proximity to my business and low price. However, I would not recommend anyone to stay here. This is the third time they put me on the 3rd level of a bunk bed, which is directly next to the air-conditioner. They said if I put the cheapest option, I would always get this third-floor bed close to the air-conditioning. This was mentioned nowhere in the booking website. The bathroom is within the hostel complex but the toilet is across the hallway shared by others of the same building. Using the washing machine is cheap, only 30 TWD. There is one for male and another for female.

Reviewed By Greg RIf you're looking for clean, quiet kip with good showers, this is just the ticket. You can save money on a night's kip and keep moving. This is backpackers' style with a new twist: six squeezed into a small room. If you don't mind the close quarters, it's perfectly fine. Amenities are good, corridors are clean, everything seems to work, staff are competent and friendly, arrangements for early check-in are efficient and the railway station is about 100 metres away.

Taipei Sunny Hostel is a brand new hostel, located right next to the beautiful 228 park in central Taipei city, close to Taipei main station with many shopping areas, restaurants nearby. The closest MRT station (NTU Hospital station) is just 2 minutes away and the popular Ximending area is only 10 minutes away on foot! The hostel provides clean towels, toothbrushes and has private en-suite bathroom in every room, there's also a kitchen, water dispenser, coin laundry room and computers in the common area for every guest to use.

My friends and i booked for family room with private bathroom, room bit small but it is okay for us, we just 3 of us with 2 big lugagge and 3 cabin luggage. The hostel is very clean, they sprayed with sanitizer all the time (is it because of corona virus maybe?) And you need to put your shoes in front of the receptionist and changing to their sandal to come inside, this is one thing that makes us feeling this hostel are very pay attention to cleanness Locations is perfect! 10min walking to ximending or ximen station and 3 min walk to NTU hospital station (red line, same line taipei main st) And you can also walk from/to taipei main station if you like walking ☺️. 711 and family mart just beside the hostel. From taoyuan airport just take airport express purple train to go to taipei main station and then change to MRT and take red line. Only 1 or 2 station from taipei main st MRT. Jessi (hostel’s staff) thank you for helping us find the taxi and give information around when we dont have plan anymore ?. Thanks sunny hostel ? Very recommended!!

Manager-on-duty was a smiley jerk
Reviewed By wrawlindBeds look nice in the photos, but manager on duty refused to let me see an actual bed when I visited in person. I explain that I'm looking to stay 2-3 weeks and never make long-term bookings based on pictures alone. He reluctantly changes his mind, *almost* takes me to check out one of the rooms when something suddenly occurs to him. With a gleeful smile, he turns to me and happily says I can't stay there after all due to Taiwan's new coronavirus policy. This is bogus because later THREE other hostels down the street check and double check my entry dates to make sure I'm good to stay with them. Glad that I got to see real Taiwanese hospitality at those other places instead of letting this punk color my first experience in Taiwan. Not sure what his problem was, but I hope it's wasn't because I'm not Caucasian. Guess I won't be staying here ever. Two stars for the hip-looking coffee shop out front.

Clean, Comfy, and Convenient
Reviewed By deniseledesmaWe were a group of 3 that stayed in the family room with external private bathroom. The bathroom wasn't exactly private as it was in the same area as the public bathroom and only had a sign "Exclusive for Room F" on the door. We saw some guests still use it despite the sign. Nonetheless, we also used public area which was clean. They had shower gel and shampoo in dispensers. You only had to bring your towel and other personal toiletries. Although our room had no window, it was still a comfortable stay. The sheets were very clean. Their white duvet comforter made us not want to get out of bed. If you're a light sleeper, you might be bothered with the chatter of the people outside the room. Since I'm a heavy sleeper, that was just fine. The receptionist who received us (the one with glasses) was very warm and directed us to the good places to eat around the area and the other places that might be of interest to us. The hostel is near the MRT - - Taipei Main Station, (making it accessible to TRA, THSR, buses) Beimen Station, and Ximen Station. Ximending is also within walking distance. They allow to leave the baggages first when you arrive early or if you want to go around the city more after checking out. They also have hot, normal, and iced water and some oolong tea bags for consumption. The hostel is on the 3rd floor. They have elevator access. They also have disinfected slippers for use since you can't bring in your shoes. Overall, this is a definitely value-for-money hostel that I would highly recommend.

Though location wasn’t that ideal since it’s far from any MRT station, the hotel facilities and cleanness of the property made up for the inconvenience of it. I’m willing to travel a bit far from the MRT station just to stay here. This was a last minute check in because I locked myself outside of my apartment at 3 am. I was debating if I should get a star hotel or crash at this place and I was more than satisfied with this place upon checking out.
