Luna's House opens in 2015. All amenities are brand new with the custom star elevator. The interior decoration are cozy and luxuriously exquisite. In the community kitchen, there is free unlimited Starbucks coffee self-served and fresh brewed tea. Transportation is great- MRT five mins away & HSR- 15 mins away. The staff can speak proficient English and offer all kinds of travel information!
Fantastic Find in Kaohsiung
Reviewed By Leslie VLuna's House is really special. It is new and each room has it's own unique theme. Everything is spotless-even the common eating area where you get delicious free coffee in the morning. Steven, the owner, is exceptionally friendly and helpful with every detail. The location is excellent on a quiet street but close enough to walk to the night market. I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Kaohsiung.

Giethoorn is in a very quiet residential area. The interior decor of the rooms is exquisite and exotic. Transportation is great - MRT 8 mins away & HSR 15 mins away. We have the staff who can speak English. Guests are welcome to access all lobby, we provide free wifi in all the rooms. The most famous Ruei-Fong night market is nearby in walking distance, We have the shopping mall just about 10 mins away.
Beautiful
Reviewed By debvvGiethoorn is a beautiful small village that uses canals instead of roads. Each home is different and maintained well, with manicured lawns. There are canal tours available which are enjoyable. This is a truly unique village and should be preserved. On the day we visited it was extremely crowded with lots of boats on the canals running into everything from bridges, trees and the banks. The boats that were doing the tours weren’t the problem, it was the individuals that were renting the small boats that were running into everything.

Super bad service
Reviewed By Samamtha LBad service but you need to pay the service fee... Environment is pretty bad and small... Ordered two main courses one with 80nt set (includes one cheap small bread and a cream soup which was tasted normal). Course 1- duck breast and duck leg- duck breast was tasted alright, duck leg was tasted so dry... Course 2-tomahawk of pork-it was tasted good. Total charge-around 1550 nt. For this price it's not worthy. Won't go again I would love to pay a little bit more for the restaurant with better service!!!

Nice & Simple Hotel

So on the first day when we arrived at the hotel passed midnight, we had to pay NT400 for service fee to check-in. Need to plan your arrival time if you don't want to waste extra money. We had booked the big room with slide. We love it very much, especially our daughter. The room is nicely decorated, bed is comfy, spacious toilet. Just not enough space in the room to put our shopping stuff. Location of hotel is good, only 5min. walk to nearest mrt station. And it's within walking distance to Ruifeng night market.

Clean, Spacious but Noisy and No Breakfast
Reviewed By Connie BThe location is in a narrow cul-de-sac lane, in the middle of a mainly residential area, a very homely environment. The owner, Mrs. Liu gave us the main gate key and printed us a street plan of the surrounding area. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Perhaps it is a matter of trust, when we checked out at 10:45 a.m. on 9 Feb. 2015, there was nobody in the premises for us to return the main gate key, so we just left it on a table, then closed/locked the gate when we left. The main drawback is the poor sound insulation, we were woken in the middle of the night by the next room's toilet flush, water tap turn-on-and-off, footsteps, and children's screaming etc. It is also not suitable for wheelchair and/or weak travellers because the rooms are upstairs without lift and you have to climb up and down stairs with your own luggage. It would be a great help if the premises provided at least basic breakfast such as toast and coffee etc. because it is nowhere nearby to provide breakfast.
