Great location but needs some improvements
Reviewed By PsychoGeminiI'd passed by this hotel many times as I've stayed in a different hotel in the neighborhood on previous trips. I finally decided to stay here as the prices were right for my trip. The room was spacious and clean and I appreciated the separate shower room and bathroom. There were plenty of channels available on the TV and the electronic safe gave me some peace of mind. I also had a good view of the main road from the shower and bathroom windows. The rooftop lounge area also offered great views of the neighborhood. That being said, there could be some improvements made. The biggest problem is the lack of soundproofing in the building. I had some fairly noisy guests in the room next to mine who I heard for two or three nights and people walking and talking in the halls can clearly be heard. Noise from the bathroom and shower pipes were also highly audible. I found one roach in my room but took care of it quickly. Thankfully I found no others for the rest of my nights there. Another problem were the dryers in the laundry area. One of them was not functioning properly and the ones that did were not strong enough so it took at least two hours to properly dry my clothes. Keep this in mind when washing clothes. Overall it was a good stay and it was nice being in a more spacious hotel than on my previous trips. However, the noise and laundry issues might keep me away for any extended stays.

Location amazing but not too clean
Reviewed By 705tessadThe room size, bigger than we expected. Rustic design. A few steps away from the metro station, places to eat (Tiger Sugar, Starbucks, McDonald’s to name a few) and a mall. The room though since it had no windows, smelled like wet funky socks! We switched rooms twice and both smelled like stinky feet! ?☹️

Reviewed By GlobeTrotters150Ok.. so this is one of those places where you get pleasantly surprised! The rooms are basic and small as per the price point but the location is incredible! There are tons of restaurants nearby and even a cinema that is literally open 24 hours.. it was the first time I saw an option for a 2 am movie! Lots of bars and restaurants nearby along with very easy access to subway system. I highly recommend staying here vs other more expensive hotels and spend your money on experiencing the wonderful city!

Reviewed By LVFRAZIERCleaver use of space. It is very small tight space. My daughter and I chose a bunk bed. We both have personal space to place our suitcase and personal items. Clean space with communal bathroom separated by gender. Location is perfect and close train and night market. We love the energy in the neighborhood. Don't forget to indulge in the Street Food! They are better than restaurant meals. It is definitely money well spend!

careful of wording
Reviewed By carmen303we booked two bedrooms online and chose this hotel because it specified it had 'adjoining' rooms (Note, NOT adjacent), however when we checked in, hotel claimed adjoining rooms 'do not exist' - which to be fair they suggested it could be 3rd party agents (Agoda) that mistranslated. apart from that, rooms are very decent in size, very clean and has a decent balcony. however our room was on the 8th floor facing the bridge/highway and the noise level was quite high late into the evening ( bearable but if those who are sensitive may take note). the coolest thing this hotel offers is a room service to an extremely famous local eatery whereby even if you go at 5am (that's when it opens ) the line is horrendous. However this hotel allows you to place an order with them the night before (cut off time 10:30pm) and you can arrange what time they bring it to your doorstep (for a small service charge). i would come back again for the price/location/ cleanliness/ size of room :)

A great, brand-new hotel near everything in Taipei!
Reviewed By JayFromTheII'm glad that I ended up at this hotel. I was travelling internationally for work and research when things started heating up with this new coronavirus/COVID-19 crisis, and with flights being cancelled and countries locking down, I decided that I'd be better off spending a day or two in Taiwan to recalibrate my plans. Well, when things worsened internationally, that day or two turned into a month or longer, which I'm still in the middle of. But thankfully, I found a good hotel, clean, quiet, and everything is brand-new because they apparently just opened in February. The employees are all incredibly nice and helpful, and in three weeks, I haven't had a bad experience or anything to complain about. Besides the cleanliness and comfort, you literally cross one street, and you're at the Taipei Main Station where you can catch a bus or train/MRT to anywhere in Taipei and beyond, even the main international airport. There are tons of restaurants and stores within a one-block radius (including 7-11 and their local equivalents), and the area seems to be 100% safe, not like most "downtown" areas of other cities. Back to the hotel, there's an elevator to get you and your luggage to the lobby when you arrive (it's on the 2nd floor, in American terms, meaning the floor that's right above the ground floor [British people on the other hand apparently call this the "1st floor"]), and the internet runs flawlessly, as does the hot water. I tried two other rooms before settling on this one, and even the rooms that were right above the busy street corner were amazingly quiet, so they must have some really good soundproofing in this building. I give the T.O. Hotel at Taipei Station my highest recommendation! (By the way, there are two branches of the T.O. Hotel, the other one about half a mile north of here, so if you're looking for this one, it's the one on Kaifeng Street near the super-tall Shin Kong Mitsukoshi store building at the end of this short block.)

Convenient Location and compact room!
Reviewed By Kent_AdventureThis hotel is convenient as there is a 7-11 right downstairs of the hotel, near to the Taipei MRT to the Airport when crossing at the road level. near to underground walk-way path Z8 that links to Taipei Main Station and nearby got food shops. The room has Wi-Fi and the hotel room is clean though it is small. The bed mattress is firm and provides a good rest. There are in-house coffee machine and microwave. The room provides safety as it comes with triple locks (1 for the magnetic door lock, 1 for chain lock and 1 for manually locking the door by twisting twice). Overall, I am happy with this hotel and will consider booking again on the next trip.
