Located by the lake this place has great views. Interior and terrace are decorated nicely. Nice music and atmosphere overall. Ok walking distance away from city centre.Good burger to put it plain and simple. Only thibg I would change is to make the burger (beef) a bit thicker so you could have it as medium. Salads looked nice as well. Friend had a gluten free bun and said it was good also.Definitely recommending this place during summertime.

Only open place to eat at Christmas day. Local menu die Christmas was not a succes. Take the a la carte card is my advice. Friendly staff however and they speak English well!

Located in the hotel so very handy, good service and fine choice of drinks, with reasonable prices, designed to give good ambiance, especially in groups, unless you are near the hotel lifts, then you get a lot of passing foot traffic, , the food is okay, the steak I had was uninteresting - it could have been better presented and prepared. There are better near by, it could be better with a bit more effort.

This was our last meal in Jyvaskyla before traveling on to Turku on our Finnish tour. We were eager to find out about this restaurant with so many good reviews. We did not have a reservation, so had to wait in the bar area a bit, but were seated by a friendly hostess and immediately introduced to our server. The menu was supplemented by a long list of daily specials recited by our server. Our party of four tried four different entrees, all of which were delicious. It was a memorable last meal in this friendly Finnish city.

We have visited this place multiple times with my wife and our son. He is only 7 so he is still picky with his foods but besides Aukios children list they make 1/2 portions from normal list for smaller guests. so easy pasta carbonara choise to him. My wife loved her chiken with pasta dish and my arctic char was exellent. Panna cotta with rhubarb sauce/jam (note that I donât like rhubarb normally) and chocolate cake for dessert were exellent.When you add this always smiling and very friendly service what you always can expect in Aukio and SokosHotel Paviljonki (where restaurant is located) perfect dining evening with family was ready!!I highly recomend this Finnish/Italian style trattoria for anyone travelling Jyväskylä region Thank you so much for this review, we are happy that your entire family enjoyed our food and service :-) You are most welcome again!

This was our first time in Le Qulkuri. The place in pretty nice and the location of the restaurant is almost in the city center (on the other side of railway/bus station Matkakeskus). Food was good, but this time options were 3 different types of hamburgers/hot dogs, one more fancy pork option and then tomato-goat cheese risotto. Almost all the dishes are available gluten free, just ask. Le Qulkuri is something between a street food restaurant and a fine dining restaurant, pretty nice even though I'm not a fan of hamburgers and hot dogs.I have heard that they have really good lunch there. Many different kind of options, not just street food.

At lunchtime, the salad table was pretty fine. There are several main meal choices for lunch. Option fish was tasty and reasonably big dose. Restaurant facilities clean and comfortable.Restroom facilities clean. You should come and eat more often.

Very delicious dinner and friendly service. We were a group of three friends and had a three-course menu (not recommended but chosen from the carte). All enjoyed a lot of each course. Would definietly visit again, highly recommendable. The fifth star is for the suprise to find such a place from Jyväskylä, in Helsinki or in Stocholm would rate with four stars. Anyhow, should be listed the Bib Gourmande if not (yet).

I went here together with some of my Finnish collegues for dinner as my first visit to Finland. They told me it was very famous for their kitchen and I can see why. We had a three course meal and it was very tasteful. Fresh ingredienst made in a simple Nordic way. We had white aspargus as a starter and a white lake fish as a main course. Made to perfection and with good quality. We also got a wine suggestion which was a good match and the service overall was good. You could also go with the set menus or mix between the different menus. A nice feature. The restaurant itself could maybe had a little done on the interior and comfort side, but it was overall good. If going back to Jyvaskyla I would eat here again
