Don’t be deceived by the critics—THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE PLACE the locals like the frequent. Great food, service and ambiance with the owner on premise from early ‘til late. Amazing Lake view upper deck in season. Two aquariums and fire side seating in the spacious dining room—very kid-friendly.

Unfortunately this place has closed. They were the only place that served conch chowder. Niagara Produce used to carry canned diced conch but they have stopped carrying it. My mouth is sad.

Wilson Boat House Restaurant

We returned to the Boathouse for a late lunch on a clear sunny day and were seated on the patio. Fresh air with a view of the Harbour and watching the boats coming and going.Service was well timed as we chatted with the other couple we came with for lunch. Food was very good with the exception of the onion soup. It was served with a generous covering of wonderful cheese and looked fantastic. Only concern was it was served warm, not hot. In spite of that, it was delicious. We all shared Pot Roast sandwiches (a tradition for us at lunch) which were great.
