We returned to the Boathouse for a late lunch on a clear sunny day and were seated on the patio. Fresh air with a view of the Harbour and watching the boats coming and going.Service was well timed as we chatted with the other couple we came with for lunch. Food was very good with the exception of the onion soup. It was served with a generous covering of wonderful cheese and looked fantastic. Only concern was it was served warm, not hot. In spite of that, it was delicious. We all shared Pot Roast sandwiches (a tradition for us at lunch) which were great.

Ventured to Wilson from NOTL. Beautiful harbor with many dining options. Chose Sunset...glad we did. Busy place with lots of action. Sat outside on a large patio overlooking the yacht club. Patrons enjoyed the live band, Our server Marissa was delightful and took care of everything. Even the manager was buzzing around ensuring everyone was happy. Plenty of menu options at a variety of price points. Highly recommend.

Wilson House Restaurant and Inn

Headed out to Lake Ontario after my wife read that the Northern Lights might be visible from the area that night. Decided to make it a worthwhile drive by adding dinner to the evening. Happily, we stumbled upon the Wilson House while looking for somewhere to eat. The parking lot was packed and I doubted we would get a table anytime soon. Pleasantly surprised when we were immediately seated. There was a lively bar area with two separate dining rooms off of each end. Sitting in the southern most dining room we were able to hear the awesome band playing in the bar but not overpowered by the music so that we couldn't talk. The atmosphere was very cozy. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our meals and appetizer and found them to be very reasonably priced. The Northern Lights didn't make an appearance that night but we had a great evening drive and have found a wonderful restaurant to go to when we do the Niagara Wine Trail. Looking forward to going back in the near future.

We were visiting friends who live in Wilson and they suggested we head down to Woodcocks for cheap pizza.Got there fairly early and the outside tables were almost filled. The music was quite loud so we ventured inside and were seated at the low tables where it was quiet enough for us to have a conversation. Our server was very attentive and passed the menus, took our drink order taking time to explain the pizza special. Off he went to get our drinks. We saw other tables getting the pizza and they were full 13 inch pizzas that were too much for an individual so we ordered 2 to split. A good thing as we have pizza left for breakfast. The wood fired pizza is fantastic and delivered piping hot so we had to let it cool off before tasting it. Then, it was unanimous that the pizza was fantastic. The restaurant was quite busy, but that didn’t impact on the excellent level of service. We had a great dinner and a good time. Highly recommend!

This eatery was a surprising discovery after seeking apples for pie baking and enjoying the Amish artifacts in the area. Burgers and fries are reasonably priced and the service is cordial, efficient, and fast. Families and large groups are welcomed. After dining, you should explore the treasure trove of bargains in the extensive gift gallery. You can take home some of the homemade breads and bakery items offered for purchase. Looking forward to returning when in the area again.

This bar and restaurant in "downtown" Olcott is a quiet place that is entirely used by the locals of the area. The best feature of this bar/restaurant is that it sits directly on (next to) the small marina, and you can sip your drinks watching the boats come and go from the slips directly beneath the deck. The inside room also has a pool table, air hockey table, and foosball table. The only problem there is that the floors in this establishment are so uneven that all the balls on the various table head towards one side of the playing surface. (Perhaps after enough beers no one would notice!)This is a sleepy little place that did not appear to be "rocking" during our visit. I might come back for drinks and more of the view, but it would likely not become a favorite watering hole.

The Lighthouse Grill seemed to be the only full service restaurant in Olcott on a Wednesday afternoon.Only about 25% full and we were seated right away.My wife ordered the grilled chicken salad and said it was good, however, looking forward to the beef on weck I was disappointed with the amount of fat and the thickness of the beef.I have never had one like that and could only eat about half the beef. The restaurant is old school 1960's and not a bad place, just a little sprucing up would do wonders and correct the beef on weck problem. The one I had at Wagner's in Lockport was outstanding.

I love this local spot! It is in the back of the old fire hall, just after the bar. It is casual and more tables than booths, and a counter, as well.My husband and I LOVE their curly fries, and so far everything we have tried has been very good, tasty and done just the way we like. They are open till 8 every night, and mid week through the weekend, open for breakfast. It is only CASH so come prepared.Servers are always friendly, and helpful. Pies are all homemade and scrumptious. And butterflies adorn the walls of the women's bathroom!A mini museum is in the front of the place, before the eating parlor, and is worth stopping to see artifacts from the glory days of that fire hall.
