Had an early dinner there. The ambiente is warm and cody, staff very friendly. They served a buffet with around 10 different Indian dishes, Naan, rice, soup, sauces and salad. Tasty and spicy, and the soup was just delicious.

There are 2 Gopals Restaurants in Tampere: one's on the street Ilmarinkatu 16, and the other one's on Rongankatu 6. I went to Rongankatu since the other one was closed because of holiday. Its small, humble and cosy little ambience is quite different and quite amazing. You pay according to the weight of the food on your plate. You pay roughly 18 Eur/kg. I had a moderate size of meal and I paid 16 eur which wasn't that bad price in your are aware of prices in Finland. Given the quality and taste of food, it is worth worth it.I'm a new to vegetarianism and having such good food for option is bliss. They have so much healthy food to offer. Indian cuisine with a little touch of European cuisine. The only thing I missed here was bread. I hope the restaurant management read this review and add it the lunch bar.ppppst... They have some amazing vegan cakes for dessert. [Approx 4 or 5 eur.]Totally recommended !

This Nepalese restaurant was located near our hotel and since my friend likes spicy food this seemed to be a convenient restaurant for our dinner. That Thursday seemed to be quite quiet and we had the restaurant all by ourselves. On the menu there was something very interesting: Chicken Momo. The friendly waiter let me try this traditional Nepalese dish with half portion together with the main course. I was very happy to have an opportunity to taste this food and it was absolutely lovely. Since I don't like spicy food this was mild and the dip (not a soup) just to die for. My choice for another mild taste and lactose free food, Garlic Lamb, was adjusted to my liking regarding the spices but sadly the meat was just not as tender as I have accustomed. My friend liked his Chicken Tikka Sizzler and with naan bread, basmati rice and other side dishes there was plenty to eat. Nice waiter attended us in English and there was no disturbing background music. I would definitely have these dumplings again with a supplementary starter when visiting Tampere next time.
