Nice farm accomodation
Reviewed By JellonaVery nice and homey farm accommodation. We stayed on the second floor of the main building and we had two bedrooms, a toilet and a shower room for us (weirdly enough, one evening other guest came to use our shower as they said that they didn't have one... I wasn't sure anymore if it was exclusively for us or not...). Rooms were clean as well as the other rooms. Downstairs there was a large public room with some toys for kids (and breakfast at mornings). Breakfast was really nice with many local products, some of them made at the site! In the garden there was a sand box and a trampoline which were greatly enjoyed by our kids. Oh, the sheep were great, too. We enjoyed our stay, but maybe the hostess could have smiled or talked a bit more. And they surely should move the HYVÖLÄ sign over the reception door - now almost every guest entered the house via the "wrong" door as they came to check in...

Paradise at Lake Ähtäri Finland
Reviewed By isotapaniHoliday trip 24.7-1.8.2021 Departure through Sastamala to Ahtari. Was deviated with the church of St. Olav. At Virrat were eaten with tasteless Rolls of hamburgers, french goodies. Honkiniemi was reached at 17.30. Breeding on the beach of Ähtärärvi. Breakfast was very good.. Cleaning OK, Sunday we went to nearby Ähtäri Zoo. Three hours walking In the middle of the day, animals were just lieing or sleeping. You should go in the evening time may be more movement. Pandas was seen and much more. lake water 20 -24 degrees . The sauna , was good and huge spacious. The hour paid 15 €. As a tranquil, for children a lot to do, a large area, a shallow beach. Nature beautiful place, lots of doing and all includes the room price. Paradise for the kids. Go there and you won’t be disappointed.

Reviewed By SatuK301Olimme tyttären kanssa syysretkellä ja Voltin kylä oli hyvä välipysähdyspaikka. Olimme näppäränä varanneet paikan, mutta meille ilmoitettiin puhelimitse edellispäivänä, että olimme itseasiassa ainoat vieraat, koska paikan väki oli itse lomailemassa. Saimme kuitenkin tulla ja meidät otettiin hyvin vastaan ja saimme aittamajoitushintaamme vastaan hienon huoneen rakennuksesta. Koska paikka oli tavallaan kiinni, jouduimme hankkimaan omat aamiaisvermeet, jotka säilyi hyvin huoneen jääkaapissa ja huoneessa oli vedenkeitin ja teepusseja ja kaakaota. Saimme myös aterimia pikapikaa paikalle toimitettuna, kun huoneita oli jo ilmeisesti riisuttu talviteloille. Huone oli pieni, mutta mukava ja riittävä meille kahdelle. Petivaatteet oli niin pehmeitä ja hiljaisempaa paikkaa nukkua saa etsiä. Olihan tämä nyt selkeästi pelkkää yöpymistä enemmän. Tämä oli kokemus.

Reviewed By Jani KNopealla yhteydenotolla onnistui yhden yön yöpyminen mökillä. Mökillä olisi viihtynyt reippaasti vaikka viikon. Lammen ympärillä kolme mökkiä ja sauna/suihkurakennus. Paljon vaihtoehtoja tekemiselle ympäristössä. Esim. Sulkapalloa, uinti, frisbeegolffia, futista ja pienimmille keinut ja leikkimökki. Mökistä löytyi kaikki tarpeellinen. TV olisi kuulemma saanut lasten mielestä olla hippasen isompi mutta kuka sitä nyt mökillä tarvitsee.

That was something what was left to see. It wasn't so warm that it would needed. Allthough at the night it get very warm. And the Bathroom in the Room was very nice and renovated. Only there were no fridge and the pillows weren't so good for my neck and back.. But all the corridors remind me some sort of rehab center. They really need something to get to this date. And the service... We have a package with summer theatre tickets. After I bought it about 4 months ago, I got am email which included a voucher. When we got our calender clear, I asked how we could reserved our vacation. With email or call, they said. So I told the date When se would want to Come and When we would want to go to the theatre. They answered that all is ok, they have informed the theatre. So When we go straight to the theatre, they told usbto pay to the hotel. Everything went fine in there. After the show we go to the hotel, and at the reception the lady asked did you went straight to the theatre, she had printed our tickets to the theatre already. Well, nobody weren't told that we should get the tickets from hotel before the show... Also the receptionist didn't told where our Room is, where the breakfast is served etc. We got a notice where were told all the times what is happening in the hotel. Then we go to eat at the restaurant and it was quite unclear where to go. There were a sign what told wait here to be seated. There was much older People and they didn't know where to go and what to do, so the lobby was crowded. We got a table quite soon, and wanted to go out. We got the menus and number sign with us to go to the table. After a while the waitress came to ask what we would want to order. We heard that the hotel uses foreign studentsat the kitchen and waitresses. She has not so good Finnish language but we made our order. In the menu there was only couple of things to order. There were daily fish and daily Meat which wasn't told anything else. We asked about the Meat and understooded that it should be pulled Bull. So we ordered and waited. There was a lack of waitresses and maybe in the kitchen because the waiting Time was quite long. One funny thing was heard from another table, when a Customer asked a waitress what would you recommed. She told that the Fantasy-pizza, because you could choose the toppings ? When we got our dishes there were mashed potatoes some carrots, lingonberries and the Meat. They all looked and tasted like they have been in fridge, maybe melted and frozen again. The food was not Hot, not enough warm. Carrots weren't peeled, but it didn't bother. Food was ok, not nice, not something that you would pay 27€ per dish... We waited in our table but with the lack of waitresses no one came to ask is everything ok or do you want dessert or More drink. We took our tablesign and go to cashier and told we want to pay. We go to the beachrestaurant and eat there a little bit More so we didn't have to go sleep with hunger. When we go to sleep I bought some refersments because I know I need something to drink at the morning or if I wake up at night. One 0,5l Coca-Cola or something Else they sold was 4€! I have never faced that kind of robbery with soda. Also there was a sign on the reception, where was told that you should pay when checking in. That was ok, but the checking out then could be only leave your cards in this box.

Reviewed By johanl613The place was not clean, felt old and dirty. High price for realy dirty apartement. Realy loud place, feels like the neighbours was in the same room. Cleaning was the absolutley biggest problem. Not to recomend.

Nice apartments
Reviewed By flamedashWe stayed in one of the first floor apartments of the chalet. The apartment was very nice: bedroom, kitchen+living area, bathroom with sauna, patio with dining area and sofa. Everything was clean and the place looks quite new. Kitchen is well equipped - you have everything you need to cook your own meals. There is a TV and a speaker system with bluetooth. Wifi works well. Check-in is at the adjacten Mesikämmen hotel. The Ähtäri zoo is basically across the parking lot. Both have restaurants but for grocery shopping you need to go to the town center. Very nice option for a quiet weekend trip.
