Thai Spoon Restaurant

We like eating at Thai Spoon because it has a neighborhood feel to it. It appears to be family run and the food is delicious. I have had the lunch special many times and like that you can order the entrees with extra vegetables (for a small additional charge). The soups they serve with these specials are more interesting than what you receive at most Thai restaurants. I especially like the Spicy Basil.

Great little Thai Restaurant in a strip-mall. Nicely decorated, clean dining room and restroom. Smelled delicious when we walked in.We had three dishes and a drink: Pad Kee Mao, Yellow Curry with chicken and Chicken Satay. Thai Iced Tea was the drink.Satay arrived first and it was just off the grill, hot and juicy and VERY tasty! The satay sauce was wonderful, not super peanutty like some. It was rich and went with the meat well.Pad Kee Mao (drunken or drunkard's noodles) arrived next. It was made with ground beef, which is the way I prefer it. Ordered as medium in heat level. Noodles very good, beef well seasoned, but as for medium? Next time I will order mild--maybe we just got some really hot chiles. Any way, it was delicious.Next the Yellow Chicken Curry, ordered medium in heat: The heat level here was pleasant. The curry was rich, had a good aroma and was richly creamy from coconut milk. Very good--but next time we will order more rice!Thai tea was nice and strong and delicious.I would really like to visit here again as the food we had was wonderful. Prices were average, service was good. Recommended

Wonderful Thai food - many choices and they list some of the areas in Thailand that the food originates from. The staff is very friendly and attentive and knows their menu and are more than willing to suggest some of their favorites.I had the Drunken Noodles with chicken - I wanted to order it hot,but my waitress suggested I try medium (I agreed, but I think I could have gone hot - I asked for some of their Thai peppers in fish sauce to add). My daughter had the Gang Thong (Thai pumpkin) with chicken & coconut milk, in mild - she can't take heat like me...lol Both meals were cooked perfect and very tasty, although I woulh have like to see move veggies in the pumpkin dish. They offer...mild, medium, hot, Thai hot & blow up hot choices for all their meals.I will definately go back next time I'm in the area - would love to try more of that menu, wish they were closer to home, I would become regular.Note: They are diectly around the corner from Escape Craft Brew Company, order some Thai, take it with you to the brewery and enjoy some great brews
