Had a wonderful dinner at Bistro 12. Small, intimate dining space with great seafood and meat dishes. Our table ordered the sardine appetizer and lobster bisque - both delicious and generous portions. For our main courses, we ordered the seafood risotto, seafood cappellini, veal chop and halibut with lemon beurre blanc. All were ample portions and well-prepared. The halibut was fabulous and the grilled veal chop was very tender and cooked to perfection! What a special place! Hope to return again!

I went with friends for lunch. One guy had been there for dinner and raved about it. The place was not crowded. I admit I'm not a fan of Portuguese food. We ordered and waited and waited and waited. Two ordered fish, I ordered short ribs. I think they had to catch the fish. Finally, the food came. The fish was average but fresh. The short ribs were the worst short ribs I have ever had. They were fatty and the little that was not fatty was so though it could not be eaten. I mean seriously. Think of a very small lamb chop, that's how much meat it had. Now, think it's tough and you can't chew it. Short ribs you can cook forever and pretty much make them tender. Needless to say between very slow service in an empty restaurant and bad food, I see no reason to go back.

We went here on the recommendation of friends and were pleasantly surprised at the selection and quality of food. I had the salmon steak which was delicious with generous servings. Appetizers were great. Try the sausage dish and the garlic clams. Topped it off with espresso and a wonderful experience. It's small so make reservations. And you'll need to bring your own wine (or buy it from the wine store next door).
