Briarcliff Manor /ˈbraɪərklɪf/ is a suburban village in Westchester County, New York, around 30 miles (50 km) north of New York City. It is on 5.9 square miles (15 km) of land on the east bank of the Hudson River, geographically shared by the towns of Mount Pleasant and Ossining. Briarcliff Manor includes the communities of Scarborough and Chilmark, and is served by the Scarborough station of the Metro-North Railroad's Hudson Line. A section of the village, including buildings and homes covering 376 acres (152 ha), is part of the Scarborough Historic District and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The village motto is "A Village between Two Rivers", reflecting Briarcliff Manor's location between the Hudson and Pocantico Rivers. Although the Pocantico is the primary boundary between Mount Pleasant and Ossining, since its incorporation the village has spread into Mount Pleasant.

I had heard many great things about Basta. I finally got around to ordering from here. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. The pasta was almost inedible from how salty it was. The Margherita pizza was mediocre at best. Very disappointed by the chicken parm hero. The best part of the meal was the chips that came on the side. First and last time visiting this place.

My husband ordered the shrimp scampi served with mussels and clams over linguini. I had the calamari marinara. The waiter came out with a basket of fresh bread, breadsticks, a plate of garlic-infused olives before our entrees.These were delicious. The only sour note for the meal was the calamari--a mushy mess instead of firm rings. Otherwise, the service and sauce were tasty. Portions were huge and provided four more meals with a bit of doctoring.

In the middle of this sleepy town you will find an outstanding Italian restaurant. Looks like a pizza/pasta joint from the outside .... they serve amazing entrees of seafood, chicken , eggplant etcLunch is a great value. Small area for outdoor seatingGreat quality food, super nice owner and staff . Our new favorite!!

Tuscan atmosphere, very warm and inviting.Wonderful food and great service.We started with a Rosemary Cioppino, Clams and Mussels in a great white wine garlic sauce, wonderful!This was followed by Chicken Artichoke, pan seared chicken sautéed with artichoke, capers, garlic and lemon in a white wine sauce, awesome!A Venison Bolognese over Tagliatelle was delicious and didn't smother the delicate flavor of the Venison.A decent Pinot Grigio made the meal perfect.This is a truly great restaurant and we will be back soon.Thank you so much Arnie! I stopped in here recently to have pizza with some family members, and we all really enjoyed it. The sicilian was especially good. Some of the other slices, were a little oily, but they tasted good. Next time I come up to Briarcliff, I will definitely stop back in for pizza.

Love Capri Pizza, they have the best pizza I have come across. Great selection on the menu and everything tastes great. Gets very busy and they could use more waiters, The staff seems overworked but very friendly and accommodating . My only complaint is the tiny filthy bathroom, other than that, a great place for pizza and Italian food

We enjoyed a nice Saturday night meal,with drinks and excellent entrees.The staff is attentive, the bartenders paid attention to orders and made some really interesting drinks enthusiastically. We had steak and lasagna and loved it.Definitely going back.We are so happy to know that we made your Saturday night special, David! Our steak and lasagna are always on the menu, but we have many other items that you should pair with a nice drink. Had a nice lunch on a Thursday afternoon following a business meeting nearby. Nice service, though the restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived. The apps were excellent and the bread outstanding. The entrees, especially the specials were inconsistent. The fish was apparently outstanding while the pasta special, gamelli with pesto and baby shrimp was only average.

My wife and I received a gift certificate for this particular restaurant in Briarcliff Manor, NY.It offered a variety of Italian food and OUTSTANDING service. Wait staff was constantly around but never over your shoulder intrusive. I would like to thank Edwin for his patience and courtesy. For the meal, I had Vitello Martini - something different but similar to veal piccata. It came with roasted potatoes and broccoli. I couldn't even eat it all, the servings were that generous. My wife asked if it were possible to order eggplant parmigianna off menu. Our waiter didn't even have to ask the chef or owner; her wish was granted. And - it was delicious and came with a side of Ziti - her choice of several offerings. Dessert - please forgive me!! - I had the best pecan pie (it came with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream) in my LIFE. My wife shared it with me - under MY supervision!!!!!Good value too and atmosphere was fine.Add this restaurant to your list of go-to's!!Happy to hear it! We look forward to serving you again soon.
