The Schlössli Sax used to be a gourmet restaurant in the past. Now with new management it is unclear what it is. Still gourmet I don't think so, local cuisine, may be, folkloristic (at least from the dresses of the couple, sandals and colored shirts) does not really fit to the location.The food was good, despite that the truffles on the starter menu had no test at all. The main course was good country kitchen. I recommend to the managers come out with a clear strategy, otherwise the past customers will not come back.

The pizza here is good but the real strong point of this restaurant are the imaginative, delicious, and attractive dishes on offer. I live not too far away and know that I will always have a great meal here. The salad is scrumptious and beautiful to look at. The meat dishes are always a pleasurable adventure. They have an extensive wine list as well. The main room in the restaurant offers a lovely view of the countryside and the terrace in the summer months is cosy and inviting.

we often passed the place and today we first time had dinner in the newly renovated restaurant. The ambiance was absolutely great. A fusion of old and new with a great view into the "Alpstein". The service has been very helpfull and nice. The food and quality of it has been absolutely top level.....a huge positive surprise. Pricing was ok...for its level of quality. Only two drawbacks....-paying by credit card is beeing punished by an additional 2.5% which ist kind of ridiculous if you spend a nice amount of money for the dinner. -sidedishes have to be paid extra....I feel this is not needed...if needed increase the price for the course but have the side dish included. Conclusion: Anytime again...great place to go and enjoy.
