Reviewed By MrquarmbyMy friend and my wife and i stayed here for one night and the place was brilliant. We booked it last minute as we were touring on our bikes and the hospitality was outstanding. Immaculately clean and tidy and the beds were fantastic. The fact we were so last minute didn't affect the service. If you are ever close you should stay. I'll be back.

Basic but clean
Reviewed By DavidJerseyCILarge room. Basic, comfortable and clean but somewhat soulless and in need of love and some character. No view. Excellent water pressure in shower! Restaurant full of locals which is always a good sign. Good food served efficiently and quickly. Breakfast fresh but unexciting- not sure I would agree with Booking.com saying a good breakfast. Have never stayed in Switzerland before so unable to compare prices.

Reviewed By Sara010702We stayed 2 nights for hiking Sieben Churfirsten. Very good location at the foot of seven summits, can be reached by car. Very friendly staffs with comfortable rooms. The diner was very well prepared and delicious local cuisine. It is conveniently arranged.

I went back last year and, since none of the great features of Hotel Friedegg (it means 'quiet corner' in Swiss German) had changed, I did not update my review. This time, the good news is that still nothing has changed, meaning it is still perfect. It is far less a commercial hotel experience than like visiting your favourite auntie's house as a welcome guest. The rooms still have no TV (a blessing in this 'quiet corner'), the wooden floors still creak in a charming way (but everyone is in bed and asleep early anyway), the welcome and attention from Frau Benyat are as warm as before and the food from Herr Giger's kitchen is as fresh, tasty and healthy as it always was. This is the nearest hotel to the ski lift at Wildhaus - a resort that continues to invest heavily despite being a low-altitude ski station. The resort tries hard to make sure that the pistes are in perfect condition and new activities, facilities and pistes are being added each year. The view from all front bedrooms in Hotel Friedegg is unsurpassed, with a front-of-house outlook onto the magnificent Churfirsten Range and the main pistes. This is not a hotel, or resort, for Verbier or Zermatt sophisticates, but for those who enjoy simply mixing with locals, enjoying local fresh food and wines and quietly relaxing over great dinners at night in a family atmosphere, there is none better than Hotel Friedegg and Wildhaus,

The comfortable and cosy middleclass hotel Gräpplang is situated at the hill of the old castle ruin "Gräpplang" and is surrounded by the mountain chain Churfirsten and Flumserberg. The 8 rooms, the sun terrace and its tranquil location are perfectly suited for your relaxation. The restaurant with its delicious and mouth-watering cuisine and our self-made wines are our pride. The elevated, protected south-facing location offer a pleasant climate and a spectacular view. As it's also conveniently located, you'll reach the ski and hiking area Flumserberg within a 15 minute drive and the Lake Walen, with water sports facilities, even in 10 minutes.

Reviewed By shazzahutchGrapplang Hotel and Restaurant was a very nice place to stay. Very clean and the hosts were very nice people. The hotel is situated in front of Grapplang Castle ruin and has stunning views of the mountains and Flums. It could be a 5 star hotel with some modernisation, huge potential. We were there skiing and used it as our base. We were very surprised with how quiet it was particularly so close to a ski resort.

Reviewed By Migu01Das Hotel/Gasthof hat nur wenige Zimmer. Einige mit Etagen Duschen und ein paar Zimmer mit Nasszellen. Sehr sympatischer Empfang und Betreuung. Alle Zimmer sind frisch renoviert und schön gemacht. Passen zum Haus und zur Umgebung. Man fühlt sich wohl. Das Restaurant ist passend mit gut bürgerlicher Küche. Sehr lecker und auch passend. Wer sucht hier in der Mitte einer solch schönen Umgebung ein chickimicki Lockal. Sehr zu empfehlen wenn man mal abschalten will. Auch mit ÖV gut zu erreichen.

Gemütlich und nahe Vaduz
Reviewed By lanifafrKonnten in dieser Jahreszeit einen Tag vorher buchen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer für zwei Personen mit eigenem Badezimmer. Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher standen zur Verfügung. Preis 108 CHF für eine Nacht, mit Frühstück kamen noch 10 CHF pro Perspn dazu. Vaduz erreicht man mit dem Velo in 20 Minuten. Unsere Unterkunft war sauber und das Frühstück war auch sehr gut. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert, wenn man dort in der Region eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit sucht.

AmdenLodge - Bienenheim Naturhostel is an Alpine cottage in quiet surroundings above Amden, offering panoramic views of the mountains and Lake Walensee. It features a restaurant open for dinner and a large garden with a children's playground. You can choose from simply furnished rooms with shared bathroom as well as self-catering apartments. Free WiFi is available in the entire building. The Naturhostel features a large kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. A continental breakfast is available every morning. Items for a large breakfast, such as eggs, cheese and meat, can be bought on site or brought from home. In addition, free coffee and tea making facilities are available. On-site facilities include a piano, a TV room, and a reading corner. The village centre of Amden is a 5-minute walk away and features several restaurants and cafés. The Seerenbach Waterfalls can be reached on foot within 30 minutes. The next bus stop is just 150 m away. The motorway is a 10-minute drive away, and Zurich can be reached by car in 40 minutes.
Disgraceful behavior of the hotel owner.
Reviewed By sch0ggikuchenThe owner of this hotel is very unfriendly, strange and apparently has problems to organize his bookings. Our room was double-booked and he only noticed when we finally arrived after driving a full day with two small children despite of Email contact and us re-confirming the booking by phone one week in advance. He was not sorry and made ridiculous excuses and a desperate attempt to blame us for the disaster. We had to book emergency accommodation for the night and drive another hour to reach it. Never again!!!

The house Primula is located directly in the ski and hiking area Pizol to 1500 m. In the house apartments up to 8 persons, single, double and 4-bed family rooms are rented. The accommodations are ideal for winter sports. The chairlift is only 100 meters away from the house. In the summer, the house is an ideal starting point for the 5-lake hike. In winter the area "Furt" is only accessible by cablecar from Wangs. The house Primula is located at the terminus of the gondola. The journey takes 15 minutes. In summer, the house is also accessible by car on a mountain road. The drive from Wangs to Furt takes about 20 minutes. Parking at the house is free of charge. During the winter season the gondola rides on Friday evening also from 18:00 to 22:00, so guests can arrive later.

Reviewed By 213joostvMooie locatie naast de gondels op de berg Pizol. Haus Primula ligt op 1500 m. hoogte en per auto duurt dit vanuit het dorp wel ca. 20 minuten. Twee hotel restaurants op de berg voor prima diner en ontbijt. Haus Primula biedt dit namelijk niet aan. Erg goede bedden. Prima douche en ligbad. (Kamer 5) Heel mooie wandelroutes!
