Very bad customer service.Very rude and they dont serve bowls but they sell soupsAsked us to use plastic containers to drink soup.Please avoid and not sure why they are into this business as they neither know how to cook chinese food nor they know how to behave with a customer.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and used to eating in NY's Chinatown. This is the best Chinese food in Torrington and is Chinatown quality. The only drawback is that it is take-out, and they do not deliver (I wish they did).

Sorry, Torrington, but you obviously don't know good Chinese food. This is, hands down, some of the worst I've ever tasted. I acknowledge that Torrington isn't China Town, but this is just awful. We ordered a large assortment of dishes to share. Not one thing was anything above average, with a few headed towards the trash. How do you screw up Wonton soup? Tasted like chemicals. Shrimp toast? I'll have nightmares over that. Boring, tasteless eggrolls. On and on this way. On the upside, the staff was wonderfully friendly. That, and the investment was minimal. Ya'll need to stick with pizza and burgers in this town. If this is the best Chinese you've got, maybe it isn't for you.

Well if you like Chinese Food this is the place to go. Service is quick whether you eat in or take out. Eating in is like at a store front with limited seating. You can watch as they make their food. Main thing is take out which seems to work well. They will do special requests. They have no problem using brown rice if you ask but have an up fee of $1.00, for those who are looking for healthy. Would recommend if you are looking for Chinese.

First impression: Easy to find, convenient location and parking, very accessible. Interior is light, bright, spacious, clean and well-organized. Seating was quick and easy for our party of 10 during the lunch buffet. Staff members were attentive, helpful, and courteous. The buffet featured many of the most popular Chinese dishes (the ones on an American "Chinese food" menu) along with hot soups, sushi, a selection of regular American food, and some of the more "exotic" Asian delicacies (like octopus). All of the offerings were presented very attractively; trays of hot food were kept full and heated well. Cold food trays were kept well stocked and at appropriate temp. There was a great variety of vegetables and fruits available, and navigating the many food islands was simple. The desserts were especially impressive with numerous fresh pastries and other sweets; also available were gelatins and ambrosia, and in a separate freezer were about a dozen tubs of ice cream in different flavors for self-service. All in all, great food. Tea was served at the table, BYOB if you like. Take out was available. I have relatives that visit Torrington Super Buffet on a regular basis and recommend it highly. I'll second that recommendation if you like a buffet setting with interesting food.

First the good: The dining room is pleasantly decorated, the wait staff was competent, lighting was pleasant and the menu was extensive. The not so good: Food was just OK and very overpriced for just OK and the pleasant atmosphere was completely ruined by the loud country music playing on the stereo.
