Rick Erwins Westend Grille

We had a lovely evening at Rick Erwin’s. Nice table with a street view, nice service, very tasty chopped salad, wonderful pork belly appetizer, a lovely Chateauneuf du Pape and an excellent dessert. Unfortunately our dry aged Delmonico was disappointing, horribly so considering it was priced at $58!! At $25-30 it would have been passable. At $58 it was almost criminal. I should have sent it back but I hadn’t paid attention to the price until I reviewed our check. There are probably some excellent entrees on the menu but I can’t suggest any, and I ‘d surely not order another steak.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and enjoyed exploring downtown Greenville, had dinner at Sassafras. Made reservation through Open Table, arrived a bit early, but they had a table in a quiet front corner set up for us. Staff very courteous, waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and helpful. I had the seafood trio and wife and her sister had the salmon with crab. Mine was outstanding, and wife/sister said they truly enjoyed theirs also. The restaurant appeared small when first entering, but is quiet large actually. We are already talking about stopping again when we travel this direction again.

My husband and I stopped in Greenville, SC on the way back from a visit to Charlotte, NC. My husband is from Louisiana and so we knew we wanted to give this restaurant a try. The staff were extremely nice and we loved how they gave us samples before we ordered. Both my husband and I really enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the food. Whenever we are passing through Greenville, SC, we will definitely stop at The Lost Cajun.

We had a glass of wine, local beer, fried green tomatoes, and two shrimp and grits dinners plus banana cream pie for desert. Wonderful dinner experience. Excellent dining rooms, service and food. Highly recommend!

As in the times we have visited before, the restaurant ambiance, beautiful setting and good food makes for a wonderful meal with cherished friends or family. This was really no different. Fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs were great appetizers, Reuben, breakfast bowl and omelette were excellent. The coconut cream pie was also very good. So why 4 stars? It may seem picky but the cream brûlée was way over cooked and made my husband sick. The taste was very odd. A small thing yes, but it made the ending of the meal less enjoyable. We will avoid that dessert next time. The crust on the tomato pie on the bottom was undercooked as well. The taste was good but it should have been cooked just a little longer as it was wet and doughy. We will be back but as a good restaurant we know you want honest feedback.

My wife and I had dinner with a friend from a business meeting. We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation time. We had a bottle of Pinot noir from Oregon which was excellent, but over priced at $100.00. I had the flounder which was excellent, my wife had the salmon dish which was also excellent. My friend hat the New Zealand lamb which he consumed with relish. The service was very good and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The cost for the evenings meal was $348.00. This puts this restaurant in the expensive catagory in this part of the country.

Love the staff here. Sebastian, Scott, and Kelsey are great. The atmosphere is fantastic and chill, the beer is good, but it could use some greenery, it's a bit lifeless, as far as plants go. Interior Plantscapes could be great here! The music bingo on Mondays is good too.

We were both off of work, so decided to come early to enjoy the happy hour specials. Tyler was our server throughout most of our meal. A few ladies helped out towards the end. They were all fantastic! My husband and I each ordered the burger, which was HUGE & delicious! The accompanying fries were very tasty as well. My husband had an appetizer that had crab, jalapeños & cream cheese. He said it was delicious! I had a Caesar salad and I loved how the lettuce was chopped! We each started our dining venture with a glass of Prosecco. We enjoyed a Port flight after dinner, which happened to be one of our favorite ports! The whole evening was perfect and the staff made it even better when they surprised me with a delicious piece of cheesecake for my birthday. We had such a great time that we will come back for my husband‘s birthday next year. It's wonderful that you chose to join us for happy hour recently -- happy birthday! I'm thrilled that Tyler's service was exceptional, and that you were impressed with your entire meal. I'll be sure to pass along your kind words, and I look forward to the next time you dine with us.Have a nice day,Kirk Watkins, General Manager
