This restaurant was right beside my hotel on my business trip. However, I heard it was extremely expensive. I saved my per diem one day and tried it out. When you open the front door, a smell of tobacco hits you. The dining area is very dark, almost candlelight setting. I wanted to get a filet mignon, so I got the cheapest on the menu; $45! The sides are family style, so I split a $13 bowl of cheesy mashed potatoes. The filet was good, not sure if it was worth the $45. The servers are dressed to a T and very attentive. I should have realized that this restaurant was a little outside my pay grade when I ran into a lady trolling the parking lot in a van asking people for money. She was waving down nice looking cars in the parking lot asking for some help. This is one of those restaurants where you go to experience it once. I wonât be going back. The service were incredible though.

Dined here with another couple. Spouse had the salmon salad and I chose the ribeye with au gratin potaoes. One of our friends ordered the salmon salad and the other friend ordered one of the salmon meals.Service was good. Bread was brought out prior to receiving our meals. No additional bread was offered once we finished the small loaf that we were given. Not sure if we wanted more but seems odd that none was offered. For the price, it is usually customary to receive a small dinner salad when ordering a steak at most restaurants. Here one can be ordered for an additional $5.95.For a busy Friday the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Oddly, the hot meals came out about 5 minutes before the salmon salads. The two of us with hot food waited for our table mates food to come out. That being said, the potatoes that came with my meal were hot (extremely so, which is a good thing) but the steak was barely warm. It is obvious to me that it had been sitting and not under a hot light. The steak was requested to be medium well. Several places on the outside were pretty black. The cut of meat was also quite poor. Not nearly to a quality for the price being charged or the reputation of the restaurant.Due to the condition of the steak I cannot offer a rating of any higher than average with that being generous on my part. With a couple glasses of wine and one soft drink the total for the two of was before time was $78.See no reason to return here anytime soon. Nor can I give this restaurant a solid recommendation.Dear abcjjl,Thank you for the valuable feedback regarding your recent visit to our Greenville location. We're so sorry to hear that you did not receive the quality steak we aim to deliver and are known for. I will be sharing your review with our leadership team to address the issue with our kitchen staff. We hope that you will give us another try sometime in the near future.Thank you

We were a party of four including friends visiting from France. The setting was wonderful aided by wonderful weather on the outside veranda. Two of us had shrimp and grits and another had a steak. All were very good as were the salads and desert. However, my wifeâs chicken was very dry and she couldnât finish much of it.

If you have never attended one of their special events, let me say that it is the best. Started off with a blue Hawaiian fruit drink which was very good and appetizers being passed around; shrimp, calamari, scallops and some spam sushi roll that was actually okay. It is a big Hawaiian favorite. Entertainment with singers and hula ladies kept us interested but the best was when the waiters joined in! There was also wine which was brought by a distributor. Dinner was elegant and tasty; especially the roasted pig, which was done in a ground pit and slow cooked. Dessert followed, as well as , champagne. Considering the food and everything , it was reasonably priced.Bill, we're so glad to hear that you were able to attend one of our events! It sounds like you had a really excellent time. We appreciate your kind compliments regarding the wide range of food we offered. We do hope we'll get to see you back quite soon to enjoy some more great food! Until then,Edmund, Owner

We had a lovely evening at Rick Erwinâs. Nice table with a street view, nice service, very tasty chopped salad, wonderful pork belly appetizer, a lovely Chateauneuf du Pape and an excellent dessert. Unfortunately our dry aged Delmonico was disappointing, horribly so considering it was priced at $58!! At $25-30 it would have been passable. At $58 it was almost criminal. I should have sent it back but I hadnât paid attention to the price until I reviewed our check. There are probably some excellent entrees on the menu but I canât suggest any, and I âd surely not order another steak.

My wife and I had dinner with a friend from a business meeting. We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation time. We had a bottle of Pinot noir from Oregon which was excellent, but over priced at $100.00. I had the flounder which was excellent, my wife had the salmon dish which was also excellent. My friend hat the New Zealand lamb which he consumed with relish. The service was very good and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The cost for the evenings meal was $348.00. This puts this restaurant in the expensive catagory in this part of the country.

We were both off of work, so decided to come early to enjoy the happy hour specials. Tyler was our server throughout most of our meal. A few ladies helped out towards the end. They were all fantastic! My husband and I each ordered the burger, which was HUGE & delicious! The accompanying fries were very tasty as well. My husband had an appetizer that had crab, jalapeños & cream cheese. He said it was delicious! I had a Caesar salad and I loved how the lettuce was chopped! We each started our dining venture with a glass of Prosecco. We enjoyed a Port flight after dinner, which happened to be one of our favorite ports! The whole evening was perfect and the staff made it even better when they surprised me with a delicious piece of cheesecake for my birthday. We had such a great time that we will come back for my husbandâs birthday next year. It's wonderful that you chose to join us for happy hour recently -- happy birthday! I'm thrilled that Tyler's service was exceptional, and that you were impressed with your entire meal. I'll be sure to pass along your kind words, and I look forward to the next time you dine with us.Have a nice day,Kirk Watkins, General Manager
