Brixx Pizza

We went on a Thursday night. I was treating my granddaughter before she returned to college. Our server, Erin, was fantastic. She was the way you want a server to be. We started with the Bruschetta. It was wonderful! Then on to wings. Eight to an order. We got the Buffalo flavor and the Sweet Thai Chili. Buffalo was of course hot but great. Sweet Thai Chili is now my flavor of choice...fantastic! The wings are really meaty and so delicious. However, they are a little skimpy on the celery. We ordered two pizzas...one, the BBQ chicken on traditional dough and the other, the 4 x 4 on whole wheat dough. The 4 x 4 was great but the BBQ chicken was a little bland and needed more chicken. Keep in mind too that the pizzas are 10" in size. One of us ordered the meatball marinara, and of course we all tasted it. The meatballs were the best we have ever eaten! We then had dessert of the S'mores dessert pizza. So good!! The restaurant is just the right size and the decor is really nice. The bar is really nice as well. They have happy hour from 4 - 8 M - F which is really nice. The food is a little pricey but we will definitely return!!Thank you, Jenette, for this awesome review! We are so glad you and your family enjoyed your visit. We will be sure Erin receives your praise. We are excited to welcome you back again soon. P.S. Don't tell the other wood fired wings, but the Sweet Thai Chili is my favorite too! -JCW

We have visited several times with friends who live in Greenville. We have always been happy with the experience. Service has always been first class. The staff is extremely friendly. The food was well prepared. This visit we ordered the Veal Marsala and the Seafood Pasta. The veal was very tender and flavorful. The pasta had a lot of seafood including several large scallops. The menu had a nice variety of offerings so there was no problem finding something for everyone. The prices are very reasonable considering the portion sizes and the quality of the ingredients.

We had dinner here on July 4th. They had a limited 4th of July menu, but it had plenty of choices. My wife ordered the meatballs, but asked if they would add pasta to it. They were happy to do so. I had the Italian sandwich. Both meals were delicious. They also have a few Italian beers. I didn't even know there were Italian beers. I ordered a Nora that was fantastic. Service was friendly. They had live music outside and propped the front door open so we could hear it inside.

We were in Greenville for the Ville to Ville. After all of the festivities, we finally got to eat then we realized not many restaurants were opened. We were not allowed into the Local Cue because not all of us had our IDs (we are well into our 40 and 60s). So we walked over to Portofino's. It was 9:10 p.m. They close at 9:30 p.m. They were more than happy to seat us. Our server (I think his name was Jason) was delightful. He had us salads and bread and our drinks in no time at all. And all of our entrees came out perfect. It was a perfect ending to a very long day.

When you don’t have time for a dinner and just don’t like fast food, this is a very good option. We have enjoyed it both times. Has a bar. Thanks for your visit and your review. We hope we'll see you for the next WSECT and hope we can earn that 5 star next time.

I had the hailbut entree on the menu and it was exceptional. Chef is very creative and brings the flavors together. Also staff is exceptional. Always busy, probably toughest reservation in Greenville.

You're always welcome at Giovanni's because it's a family restaurant, run by a great family. Yes, it can get busy, but that's OK the food is worth it as is Mr. Giovanni and his staff. This visit we had the special ravioli of the night with my wife loved and I had the best eggplant parmesan bar none. Mr. Giovanni always picks out a great wine for us since he knows what we like. Giovanni's has an outstanding wine selection that's reasonably priced. If you haven't tried this restaurant you should and once you do you'll keep coming back.
