Lancetilla Botanical Garden

Reviewed By Iira P - Helsinki, Finland

Because the botanical garden was advertised as being an area over 1600 hectares, we expected to be able to wander around several kilometres. However the staff advised us not to leave an kilometre long path near the visitors center. There were longer paths marked on the path but they were told to be unsafe for us.
The area was nice and there were lots of different kind of plants, birds and butterflies. The experience would probably have been better with a guide but there was no English speaking one available and our Spanish is basic.
The price of 8$ is a bit too much for a stroll in a park.
