Best view with the best yoga classes. Had really good experience. The rooms are comfortable and you get three meals a day. All the meals are really delicious and healthy. I really recommend to come for at least one night and not only for the yoga classes.

The perfect boutique hotel!

Reviewed By whitecheddar

I traveled by myself here and felt like I was at home the entire stay. Absolutely charming and low key and the perfect place to relax. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly and the pool area... well you won't want to leave. Trust me, for a small, boutique hotel with a surf a block away, this is the place!

El Hotelito Perdido

Please email or call us directly if the dates you have chosen show as sold out. Hotelito Perdido is a boutique jungle eco lodge situated in the heart of the Rio Dulce National Park, tucked away on one of the small freshwater tributaries that feed the Rio Dulce. Although it feels like a million miles from anywhere, being just off the popular tourist route between Livingston and the town of Rio Dulce means that the hotel is easily accessible by boat. Both Lonely Planet and Rough Guide currently list the hotel as one of their 'recommended destinations' in the region. The hot springs, the manatee reserve and some beautiful waterfalls are within kayaking distance of the hotel. We rent kayaks and wooden cayucos, we organize various tours (to Livingston, Tiger's Cave, Mayan Q'eqchi village, Manatee Reserve etc.). We offer drinks, homemade food, we make our own bread and we eat our evening meal together, family style. There is dock to swim from, Gym and Yoga House for guests to use, beautiful tropical gardens with fruit trees, plenty of hammocks to relax in, games to play and good books to read. There is communal house with bar, lounge and restaurant, there is a b-b-q area and hammock house by the dock. The hotel can currently accommodate 14 guests. We offer bungalows with private bathrooms, rooms and the Jungle Loft with 5 beds. The hotel is fully solar powered.

Incredible place in Rio Dulce

Reviewed By Carolina M

Hotelito Perdido has everything we were looking for in our stay in Rio Dulce: the location, the people, the food, the vibe. The staff is super kind and professional, always helping you plan and book your next activity and trip. The food (vegetarian options, all homemade) is delicious - their bread and homemade chocolate are a must-try. The place is just beautiful, surrounded by the jungle and on the river, that you can explore with a kayak or paddle board. The place is perfect for travellers who want to relax but also experience a feeling of community and make new friends. Dinner is served at 6.30 pm around the main table, so everyone gathers together and that’s how you meet amazing people.

Very comfortable hostel beautifully located in the middle of a jungle around 9km from Semuc. The single rooms I stayed in were really spacious and super clean with just enough facilities to store all the stuff. The drawback for me was a lack of kitchen where you could prepare some food for yourself (the hostel does not provide breakfast yet there is an on-site restaurant where you can buy it) and the very size of the place - it’s quite huge which means quite a bit of noise at night (still I was there during Semana Santa thus for sure it was incomparably more crowded than usually). But all depends on the preferences.

"Stupido Gringo"

Reviewed By solojfred23

I originally reserved this hotel through Expedia and waited to pay until I arrived. I had no idea that the hotel did not accept American Express, and apparently neither did they! They ran my card until I received a notification that my card was locked. I unlocked my card and they continued trying until I was sent to my room. I was escorted to the room I wanted and had a great view with a private balcony, which was nice. The door was only a sliding glass door which came away from the wall when opened. I went in and found that there was no air conditioning as advertised and looked around. The man who sent me there disappeared. He returned and handed me towels and walked away. I was told at the front desk that they would expect payment the next day but never explained why my card wasn't accepted. I became very uncomfortable as I sat there and thought about how I was coldly treated. I decided to leave and find a place closer to the city center where a warmer staff greeted me at the Hotel Kaqchiquel. I tried to cancel my stay there at the Perla Maya, but the Wifi went in and out in my room. I planned on canceling at the next hotel. I dropped my key off at the front desk and explained to the woman that I was uncomfortable there and how I thought the staff was rude and never explained why I couldn't pay with my Amex. She refused to let me leave. She had to call her boss. I stood there and heard her call me a "Stupido Gringo" to the person at the other end of the phone. I tried to leave and she chased me saying I had to pay. I told her I would cancel when I had wifi and she would get the cancellation fee then. She continued to yell in the phone and then said, "get out stupid gringo!" I ran out. I have never felt so terrible in a hotel or anywhere for that matter as I did there. Beware the staff and the rudeness! This location is not close to the city center, the staff are all rude and the amenities are not what are advertised!

hi 1 year ago I booked and prepaid the hotel and due to COVID19 the trip was canceled and the hotel owner sent the email confirmation that in the period from April 8, 2020 to April 30, 2021 I can book the room without additional fees and payments. In march 2021 I sent a couple of emails to the owner to reschedule this period or book the room, askes for a refund and got no responses. DO NOT BOOK THE ROOMS - they will charge you and you are getting no chance for the trip.

Exceeded all expectations

We changed our plans in touring Guatemala by car and decided to return to Antigua for one more day and night in this lovely city. We booked this hotel on booking.com. When we arrived, we were so impressed. I couldn't stop taking photographs of the lush greenery and flowering plants in the courthouse. Sections of the original structure on the site are exposed through glass floors, and our room incorporated original masonry. Walking out through the front portal, we were in the heart of Antigua, with cafes, restaurants and shops abounding, many hidden away in the courtyards in the center of every building. Of course, all the historic sites are within walking distance. The extremely reasonable room rate included a delicious breakfast as well as free parking in a secure, walled area down the street. The staff were friendly but unobtrusive. On a scale of 1-10, I would give this place an 11 or 12.

Just fantastic

Reviewed By Simina T

We stayed here for 2 nights as we needed a place with safe parking for our motorcycle, which is very difficult to find directly in Antigua. The place is very nice and clean, the owner a very nice lady with her family, all very friendly and helpful. The dinners we had here were fantastic, the treatment all around great. As they offer free transfer to Antigua and back there is no need to stay directly in Antigua. Here you have a lot more intimity.
