Hello, i would like to recommend you this bar, itâs at perfect location and right next to the surf training spot. Fresh juices were amazingly fresh. If you are here, come and have a beer or juice with beautiful view to see. Btw the owner is pretty funny and nice person:)Thanks!

We were staying along the road from this restaurant and we visited all 3 evenings that we were staying. The garden is very pretty and has tables set outside with a view on to the river. You could also eat inside if you preferred. The food was excellent and great value and the service was always very good, highly recommend if you are staying nearby.

There is nothing special about this restaurant, except that it is the only restaurant of its kind we could find in the area. There are a lot of hotels in the area, but not many restaurants along the main road. We ordered Chinese food - fried rice with a few deviled dishes. We were surprised to hear that they only had "Balaya" fish (variety of Tuna) to offer for deviled fish, so ended up not ordering that dish. Even the prawns in the Devilled Prawn we ordered were not fresh - something that you don't expect from a restaurant in an area where fresh seafood is readily available. Nevertheless, the food was of acceptable quality and not overpriced either.

This is an excellent place for a buffet lunch. The food selection is very good from fried prawns to chips and all in between. Also good desserts and atmosphere, you cannot go wrong at 1500 rupee for the buffet. Recommend

We visited on 24/09/19 for Dinner and was shown to a lovely front balcony table for 2 overlooking the Railway tracks .My wife loves the seafood in Sri Lanka and was shown a lovely fresh Mullet which she had grilled and filleted served with rice,salad,fries and fresh roti with garlic.The fish was cooked to perfection and everything was hot and tasty .I had a couple of cold beers and a large rum/coke .The Staff were excellent and good fun to dine with.This was our second visit to Mallies (April 2019 ) and Iâm happy to say it is as good as ever .Keep up the good work guys and we will see you again some time soon .Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a beautiful review and you 5 star rating. While TripAdvisor places stars next to our business, you Garylee, are our real star.
