We were a group of 8 looking and wandered into this restaurant for a late lunch.We ordered some beers and some placed at least 7 different orders for lunch. The beer came and we waited for the food. And waited... After 35 mins I went in to inquire..It's coming' was the reply, 'just 3 more minutes' which turned into 20.It finally arrived and we fell upon it like we had never eaten before. I know I had the barracuda steak I do't know what the others had! But we polished the plates off! The food was good but then we were so hungry anything would have tasted good!I would probably have given it 4 stars had the service been prompt. :)

Next Door to Hotel Eden Resort and Spa.. This restaurant since 1978.. its the oldest restaurant in the beach.. Good overview of Indian Ocean. Best for Sea Food and any other cuisine.. Free Wi-Fi.. Parking Available..

It's a small restaurant situated on the beach near Eden Resort & Spa hotel.There are many sea food dishes - prawns, lobster, squids, fish, etc. Menu also has other dishes like soups, chicken, rice, etc. There are some desserts as well.We tried different meal - local sea fish, squids, chicken, rice & we liked everything a lot !! Our meal was fresh and tasty !!Prices are reasonable. Stuff is friendly and helpful.The restaurant itself has simple but pleasant design. You can sit inside or outside.As we liked our meal a lot and enjoyed our visit, we highly recommend the restaurant !!

How often do you get to sit down with the owner and chef of a restaurant and discuss the meal you are going to have? It's a lovely location with super views over the Bentota River. OK there's a few steps to negotiate and it's not air-conditioned (No windows) because you get the benefit of the sea breezes but the food is great and you can have a super chat with the patron and chef.I can recommend this place for a meal when you're in this area because you are guaranteed a good meal at very reasonable prices and a very warm welcome!
