Reviewed By holidaygalnottinghamStayed 5 nights in this hotel in March I requested a room on low floor which they gave us but ceiling fan didn't work and balcony door didn't lock so we asked for other room all they had was one on 3rd floor which we took and room was fine hotel was nice lovely beach staff seemed friendly although manager was a little overbearing at times but all was well until we were packing to leave and we realised that a pair of Samsung earbuds and £100.00 in sterling was missing from my handbag in wardrobe we believe it was taken the day before when a staff member was hanging around outside our room when we went out and on the last day my husband had left his phone in the room and that was still there the manager offered to call them police but as we were due to leave in an hour we couldn't see any point the manager said he would investigate and contact me but he has not so therefore I would advise people to avoid this place if you value your possessions It was a very bad end to a great holiday

Unawatuna Apartments consist of two, independed, 2-bedroom apartments on the top floor. One Suite and spacious apartments on the ground floor. Each of them are fully furnished, have equipped kitchen and private terrace. Have free WiFi, parking place, night security and very pleasant European owners. 1. River View Apartment - two bedrooms, each bedroom with attached bathroom with hot water. Big Living and Dining room, Kitchen, Fridge, Big terrace. Each bedroom has A/C, huge sliding glass doors with the terrace entrance. Master bedroom with a queen size bed (200*160) and another bedroom with little bit smaller bed (200*160). Terrace has a nice relax corner, hammock, table and chairs. From the terrace you can enjoy the stunning jungle view. Every evening you can observe the life of their inhabitants, monkeys, lizards, chipmunks, birds, peacocks. Kitchen has a gas stove, fridge, electric kettle and all necessary utensils. Living room has dinner table for 4 person, sofa and armchair, LCD TV, Satellite. All bedrooms, living room, kitchen and terrace equipped with a ceiling fan. 2. Garden View Apartment - Two bedrooms, each bedroom with attached bathroom with hot water, kitchen, big terrace and private balcony. Master Bedroom: Air Condition, King Size bed, Sliding glass doors with the entrance to a small private balcony with chairs,table and a small sofa. Safe box. Second bedroom with a double bed (or two sinlge bed) and Air Condition, small sofa which can be used as an extra bed. Big Terrace: Dining table, armchairs, garden view. Kitchen: Fridge, gas stove, electric kettle and all necessary utensils, small lunch table. 3. Garden Suite - Spacious suite with an extra large bed, aircondition, huge sliding galss door and window. Fridge, electric kettle. 4. Family Apartments - apartments with a spacious living room, fyll equiped kitchen. Master bedroom with A/C. Kids bedroom with small bed. Large kitchen and one bathroom.

Everything is counted, every small detail even masher for potatoes they have. Kitchen staffed with all necessary utensils nothing to add, which is very convenient when you travel with kids or you want to try your own cooking all those fresh seafood from the market. Bathrooms are very clean, light and comfortable with enough hangers, hot/cold water, soap, towels etc. Every room has AC and fan. Huge verandah outside - very cosy and all in green plants around. Balcony with chairs and hammock to relax. Very close to beach but far from noise. Prompt service and pleasant owners. We will come back definitely.

Nice, cheap and well equipped stay
Reviewed By 348nicumNice place to stay, with really responsive and welcoming staff and owner. We've stayed here only one night, but tris was a pretty good stay. Room was big and bathroom clean and well equipped. We didn't have an AC room, but the room was not that hot, especially if the fan was turned on. From a location point of view, this is walkable distance to the bus station (we've done it carrying backpacks as well and it was quite OK) and around 1km from the Fort. Last but not least, the price was one of the best we found for that period in Galle, so I recommend this stay to anyone who wants a place that's not very expensive, pretty close to Fort, but doesn't want to spend tons of money on it.

The Ravana beach cabanas are situated at end of Dodanduwa , between Hikkaduwa and Galle. The Cabanas and Restaurant are nicely situated direct at the beach in middle of nature. We ensure that you stay hear is an enjoyable and memorable One.

Reviewed By JasperToniWe enjoyed our stay at Ravana beach cabanas very much! The owner Ravi and the whole team were super friendly, we got breakfast at our cabana and fresh flowers every morning. The room was spacious and equipped with a fan and a little fridge. The beach was very calm and empty and you could easily walk to see all the fisherboats. Very impressive. The food was delicious. This was a birthday trip and the staff was nice enough to provide a complimentary cake and decorations within the room as well! The location of the hotel is very convenient as it is right on the beach. Overall, we highly recommend Roman Beach hotel :) Thank you for making our stay memorable!

Reviewed By 882marzenazI spent 2 weeks in Thambili Cabanas and felt like at home. I had large room with adorable terrace and sea view. I loved spend evenings there. Everywhere you can feel beautiful flowers scent from garden here. Stuff is extremely nice and helpful. This hotel is quiet and cozy place. I already miss this place. :) There is all you need: clean room, wi-fi, air condition, big bed, swimming pool and 50 meters to amazing beach. Highly recommended place!

FnB Menu needs some more additions room to grow since its still a newborn. Nevertheless food is great no complaints here. Thanks for having us! We won't say no to a discount on our return lol ?

Reviewed By Piyushb88The Villa is surrounded by lots of trees and greenery, making it a very good place to relax. The Villa has a good pool and sitting area. Room was nice and comfortable, but a cupboard was missing. Breakfast was good but there were very limited options. We stayed here on New Year's Eve and enjoyed Hikkaduwa as well as the Villa.

Reviewed By kikiislostwe booked month before arriving from pagoda app from 24-27.12, they asked what time we are arriving, i told that afternoon as we will travel from necombo by train, if i would know local shedules better i would have informed them, but we arrived not late but afternoon about five o clock, witch is normal time to arrive. They gave uss appartment from upstairs, i foat first that its the one i booked, then i realised that its much smaller and its the cheaper one as i checked from theyr site and my booking. i was ok with it and i assumed that they would allso charge the rooms price not the luxuryrooms witch was bit more expencier, but as i talked about it and saw that they had give our luxappartment to another family they didnt afmit it,and later that day they send me so called "confirmation of the smaller room what i ordered" that was ridicoulus case i allready were one night, and said that i booked that room with balcony for 140$ 3 nights and showed me a screenpicture of the message what hes wife had send me 25.12!! even my booking was 24-27.12, and i booked on november and ewen aswered to theyr question what time will i arrive. That just prooved that they completly think that customers are idiots, cause when i confronted hem about the message that it they send me by email that on 25.12 ewen they had allready confirmed my booking on november when i booked my room, that was just theyr way try to trick me paying more and not admitting that thry gave my room to others, shoving me scrernpicture of email they send me was just completly low of them!....as i tried to tell Raj abbout unfair treatment he started to get agressive and insulting me!!! as i told hem ill pay then, but i will write a bad review of this kind of unfair treatment, he send me later the cleaning girl to tell me that if i dont write bad review ill pay the normal price witch was 132$ for room with balcony 3 nights, i said that i allready had written it, but cleaning girl asked me to not write enymore, i said ill think about it. As i went to pay to Raj he gave me check with 140$ and said that im a bad person and i should payfor it, first i refused then he started to insult me and yell and being wery agressive, then he called trough skype to hes italian wife, and she said ok ill pay the normal fee and mistake was Apps Agodas and booking.coms and didnt admit that they gave our booked room to other and still tried to charge me the price of it. Later i found in our at other hotell that my sons new 2 pieces of t-shirts were missing....i did check everything before leaving,so i would not have forgotten them...not happy about this kind of agressive behaviour and insulting guests and stealing kids clothes.Shame on them.
