I LIKE this place! Have been a half-dozen times and enjoy it more each time. It was originally recommended as a local source for Asian groceries (lots of items), but they also prepare and serve homemade Filipino food for in-store dining and/or take-out. It's totally bare-bones (plastic tableware & paper towels for napkins) but the staff always displays that famous Filipino politeness and, if you are a halfway nice person, they'll make you feel like part of the family. Now I go in for the food AND the friendliness!I'm unqualified to judge authenticity, but really like most of what I've tried. Some of it is a bit intimidating to a gringo, like the blood pudding, brain dishes, and fattier meat items, but there's lots for the adventurous and for the faint-hearted (they'll let you taste, in case you're uncertain). Also great that the daily fare seems to change a lot, so not monotonous. I'm discovering tasty treats that I've never heard of and am becoming addicted to the fried peanut/garlic chip snacks ("pritong mani")! A bit more expensive than fast food, it's fresh & affordable, it's gone onto my short list of Oak Harbor favorites!
First time dining at Harbor Sushi in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island. They redecorated the restaurant very nicely and the music sounded nice. Place was clean and tables bussed quickly. Our calamari salad, spring rolls and sashimi came quickly and looked attractive. However, the spring rolls were overdone and there wasn't much of the sashimi. I've enjoyed sashimi from Tucson to Honolulu to Vancouver, B.C. to Tokyo and beyond; so I have a good sense of that cuisine. We had 12 pieces, but most of the pieces were half the thickness of what I'd had elsewhere. Also, for the price Harbor Sushi charged I usually get 18 pieces and a larger variety too. I was disappointed in the sashimi but at least the calamari salad was excellent.

Just needed a hot meal after checking in to BW Plus in Oak Harbor, WA and didn't want to drive anywhere. Decent Chinese food, portions way too large because made for sharing and my husband had a noodle soup and I wanted more variety. Waiter very professional and accommodating.

The food is varied and tasty. A family group will find something that should appeal to all family members. This trip I especially liked the Manchurian BBQ where you can create your own combination of flavors. It can be both flavorful and healthy or even vegan.

Waaay better than China City or Teriyaki Time. Huge servings with rice. Veggie Yakisoba for $8.99 and Chicken teriyaki to die for only $8.99. Look, I know teriyaki and this place has scrumptious teriyaki! Super fast service too - from order to serving was 12 minutes.

Almost street Thai food, some excellent dishes and some average. Have been eating here for over 5 years now, and consistently good. Some days excellent food, just pick a time without lots of people waiting.... the chicken massamun curry is my favourite for sure, the Ginger Good next, but many others sure are good. If the place is crowded out, I always go shopping and then come back later.

We had dinner here the other night with friends. The food was surprisingly good. I say surprisingly because I donât have high expectations for Thai food. But this was excellent, and the ambiance was peaceful and warm. Not your usual Oak Harbor restaurant. Friendly helpful servers. Reasonable prices.mvaried menu, including non-Thai options.

I was in Oak harbor for business and I searched vegetarian and came up here. It is not totally vegetarian but you can get some great vegetarian dishes. The dish I had was amazing. It was some of the best curry noodle I've had anywhere. I had Lao Curry Noodle and I highly recommend it. Everything was cooked to perfection and the spicing was perfect! service was awesome and they were so friendly!

Varied menu. Lots of choices. Quick service. Friendly waiters. Menu with varied hotness. Good food - large portions - reasonable prices. We like the Kung Po chicken with steamed rice and hot & sour soup. Get the middle size bowl. Lots more soup for not much more money.
