We ate here with friends on the last night of our holiday. three of us had the dish of the day, and what excellent value it was! Smoked salmon, steak perfectly cooked with home made fries and vegetables, and the most delicious nut cake and apple tart for dessert. A glass of wine was included in the price-amazing value! One of our party had pizza, followed by a cafe gourmand-coffee with a selection of bite-sized desserts. Can't recommend the Bar Alexandre highly enough, and Alexandre himself served us. he could not have been a more welcoming and gracious host.

Himalaya en Périgord is a marvellous hotel in Tursac (France), unique, indispensable, with a true Tibetan spirit. Astonishing decor, beautiful surrounding, delicious cuisine.Patrick Druet, the thoughtful owner of this jewel, makes you at ease and, for sure, knows how to create both a relaxing and joyful atmosphere. We had lunch at this restaurant twice during our 10 day visit to the Dordogne region. The omelets and salads were excellent, as was the rose wine. Service was very efficient and friendly. We would not hesitate to return.

We had a drink here after a very enjoyable walk around this beautiful place. Tables on the outside terrace are perfect for watching the world go by. The pression was good and cold as always and the waiter was friendly and efficient. Whatâs not to like? Recommend.

We were completely exhausted when we walked in to Saint-Cyprien around lunchtime. Weâd been walking for about four hours in hot temperatures and really just fell into the courtyard of this little spot because we just couldnât walk any further. We ordered without much thought and had the most delicious salads we have yet had in France! The leaves were sweet and tender, the croutons crunchy and tasty, the grilled bacon, whole walnuts and oil based dressing all in perfect balance. Such simple parts to what was a gourmet whole. We have noticed that French salads often comprise of a great mound of limp lettuce and little else. Not at Le Chai. Not only was the food splendid but the courtyard is very attractive and the young waiter who looked after us was most patient with our terrible French and couldnât have been more pleasant. A great experience from start to finish.
