Family long weekend

What a special place to stay. We all had a wonderful/luxurious 4 day stay at the Metropol. To start with the phone booking process was special. The lady who took my call managed to help me through with my 2 boys noisly interupting as if it were no trouble at all and genuinely seemed interested in why we were coming. Gold stars! The room was well appointed and comfortable and the staff amazing! Breakfast which was included in the hey hey vacay deal was delicious. The kids loved the pool despite the cold. It was great to be able to walk to optus stadium and the park. There were many other food options on site too. The concierge Ashley was a wonderful person helping with my sons split chin. Thanks Ashley. Again Gold stars! I have seen some negative feedback about the hotel of late and if I had to pick fault there were a few attention to detail things which if we wanted to find fault we could but knowing how hard it is to find staff at the moment, a drink ring from the previous guest on a side table is easy to look over considering the rest of the room was perfectly clean and comfy and the daily clean was always done to a high standard. Thanks for having us crown

Spectacular location , great service but food needs major improvement

Sal Salis is in a spectacular location and has great service. The employees were so helpful and went to great effort to ensure our holiday was relaxed and happy The tariff is fully inclusive of all meals but is VERY pricey at $2000 per couple per night The chefs made an effort - breakfast and lunch were excellent . But the main meal food quality was poor - cheaper cuts and the menu wasn’t really suitable for the holiday mood and climate eg Snapper with mashed potato and Broccolini More local food required The snacks were Arnotts family selection biscuits( not even cream) and Allen’s Party mix lollies The coffee machine was antiquated Alcohol was included , so there were ample Aperol Spritz, but the wines could have been much better quality for the money A great place but please upgrade The snacks , main meal and wines Thanks to the team for making our holiday as relaxing as possible and going the “extra mile “ every time PM

El Questro - The Homestead

Surreal

Reviewed By Mick R

Read the reviews with high expectations and was still blown away by how amazing this was. Attention to detail was impeccable and the staff were absolutely amazing and attentive. The food was excellent and the coordination of various day trips was very well done. The only problem I have is it has ruined me for future holidays as the benchmark has been set so high and nothing else is likely to come close.
