Find out what Fusion restaurants to try in Charlottesville. The former home of three of America's founding fathers, and the current home of the University of Virginia, the city of Charlottesville, Virginia is suffused with an appreciation of history and intellectual vigor. Take a tour of the university campus and walk through grassy malls and grand buildings designed by Thomas Jefferson, or peak into the dorm room once occupied by Edgar Allen Poe. New Sake brewery and restaurant at the Ix Art Park stands out as an innovative spark to the wonderful “foodie” community in Charlottesville. Forget about your previous associations of Sake. Sake “North American Style” offers varieties like “Spicy Vacay” and “Sweet Agony” which infuse flavors like mango, lime leaf, jalapeño, and tart lemon. “Socky” Sake is infused with fruit punch. My favorite was “Big Baby” Which is unfiltered and cloudy and you are encouraged to “shake the baby.” And the food, OMG. We had the Tuna and Ora King Salmon poke bowl which was a generous serving and fantastic. The small plate appetizers were amazing. We enjoyed the koji crusted lamb and scallops en papillote.
