Great value for money

Good value visit. Swopped my reservation from Sokos Hotel Lakeus into this hotel bc I hot a better rate for 3 people here, and it was a great choise! Had a very quiet and comfortable room on the third floor. Wooden floors, new bathroom, super clean. Absolutely no noise and excellent bed (even the pillows were great). Blackout curtains too so slept like a baby. Great breakfast and the complimentary sauna was also worth a visit, newly refurbished sauna department. The location is suberb (better than Sokos Hotel Lakeus or Vaakuna, even though those are not far either), short 5min walk from the railway station and the Ideapark bus goes right by the hotel. A movie theather right next door as well as the Lakeus Cross Church. Would return!

Tidy but plain

Reviewed By Maritaneli

A scandinavian style, modern, newly renovated very tidy hotel. Good location in a dull and empty city. Good breakfast and nice decorations. Very small bathroom, good beds. As a minus: not possible to open windows in the room, the noices from the neighbours could be heard through the walls, dull view over the parkinglot, you have to pay for parking 8 euro/24h, the cleaners had soread their gear right infront of the lifts. The most scary thing were strange sounds during the night. It was clear tgat someone was walking in the room eventhough nobody could be seen.

Maatilamatkailu Ilomaki

Farm life and peace of nature. Ilomäki Farm, in the plains of Southern Ostrobothnia, in the village of Peräseinäjoki and the city of Seinäjoki, offers year-round holiday accommodation in seven different cabins. In addition to the holiday accommodations, our farming activities include forestry and growing crops and hay, and some sheep, horses and rabbits live on the farm as well. Our guests can, if they wish, participate in the daily care of our animals and other tasks at the farm. In the nearby forests there are trails of 1 to 3 kilometres, where you can just enjoy the clean Finnish nature, or rest and grill sausages at the laavu, a forest lean-to with an open fire. We can give you a ride on the tractor or the buggy, or teach you the art of axe throwing or archery. The four seasons in Finland all offer different things to experience. In winter you can go skiing, take a hike in snowshoes, or defy the freezing temperatures and enjoy a bath in the hot tub under the moonlight. In spring you can discover how nature wakes up after the long cold winter. On sunny and warm summer days, enjoy bicycle rides or try disc golf on the farm’s eight-basket disc golf course, and don’t forget the possibilities of our magic light summer nights. In the autumn you can delight in the nature’s gifts by picking mushroom and wild berries in the forests. Most cabins have their own saunas, and with all the cabins you can rent our hot tubs for your use.

Nice atmosphere!

I was on business tripp in Seinäjoki and all hotels were already booked so I decided to rent a cottage and I couldn't be any happier about it! The cottage is really nice with own sauna and owners are really nice people. It has really finnish cottage feeling, only minus is that there are no lake but definitely this wins any ordinary hotel! Mökki oli siisti ja oma sauna ja mahdollisuus grillata katsoen ohrapeltoa. Ainoa miinus on järven puuttuminen, mutta kyllä tämä tavallisen hotellin voittaa!

Hotel with bad indoor air quality

Stayed in the hotel one night. The air quality of the room was just awful. Therefore I can't recommend Sorsanpesä to anyone, especially to those who have problems with breathing or people who might be allergic to something. After the stay there also need to wash your clothes, to get rid of the moldy smell.

Sympaattinen ja rauhoittava paikka katsella maalaiselämää ja eläimiä. Tilalls on komeita hevosia ja lapsille kiltti possu ja koiria silitettäväksi. Siistit huoneet ja tuhti aamiainen, jopa pannukakkuja, aidossa vanhassa maalaistalossa. Vain omat vessat puuttuvat, muuten hotellitasoa.

Cold and unresponsive

Reviewed By lpM8946LK

I tried booking a room through the hotel's WhatsApp number, which was visible on their website. After about 16 hours of not hearing back, I sent them a reminder message. The person responsible for the account (the owner, I assume?) then refused to answer my question whether their suite was available on a certain date, insisting I call them instead. I live abroad, and I told them I'd rather not call. I never received an answer. I get that customer service isn't that great in Finland, but for god's sake, try putting your best foot forward as a small business during a global pandemic. Needless to say, we took our business elsewhere.
