Really enjoyed dinner here this evening. V friendly owners, a really nice atmosphere, some cool 70s style retro furnishing and, most importantly of course, some very tasty food too - we had a couple of delicious, filled savoury pancakes (galettes) and salad; a crepe with ice cream and chocolate sauce for dessert; and a couple of pints and a couple of cokes. Total bill of 50 euros, so pretty good value, especially in this area. Would certainly recommend.Thank a lot ! ! You are Génial ! !!!!Cathy

We visited here with local friends and had the â¬33 menu. The food was excellent as was the service. This is a great addition to eating out in Serre Chevalier and is to be recommended. We will back on our next visit.

We wanted some cosy "traditional mountain food" after a hard day on the slopes. La Pastorale was completely perfect. Really cosy (a converted sheep barn I think) low curved ceilings with a small number of tables and a great fire. We went in at 19:00 and were the only ones in there - by 19:30 it was full. Our waiter couldn't have been more friendly or helpful and was patient with my slow French. The food was standout perfect for us. It wasn't fancy but just really really well done. We went with the intention of just a main course but ended up having three because the menu and atmosphere were so good. We also enjoyed some local beer. We sat by the fire and enjoyed watching the chef barbecue other diners meat courses on the griddle above it - brilliant. I would seriously recommend this place if you like good honest great tasting food in a cosy friendly place.

Homemade refined and inventive cuisine. 30 Places in vaulted room. Sunny terrace by the river. We are open for Lunch and Dinner
Don't go there for gastronomy, you would be disappointed. But if you are looking for a good little restaurant, this is for you. In a mountain environment where all restaurants tend to only serve mountain food, they try to have a few original dishes (they also serve classical raclettes etc if you want traditional mountain stuff).Service is friendly. Prices are reasonable.

Raclette and Fondue's kits all inclusive, delivery directly to your holiday place at Serre Chevalier Valley.
We ordered the plain raclette at 5.30pm on the phone from the owner ( he speaks good English and discussed what we might have)He was to deliver it to our chaletThe raclette device and food arrived on time less than 2 hours later .Lots and lots of cheese and meats and delicious potatoes plus a green salad .About 15 Euros per head for a very good meal . Recommended. You drop the device off the following day at one of several venues or they will get it from you.
Where to Eat in La Salle les Alpes: The Best Restaurants and Bars

If you visit Serre Chevalier, you must book an evening at this extremely genuine French restaurant. The owner and staff are wonderfully nice. They present the entire menu orally to all guests and the charm is huge. You pick your own wine and open with the opener at their table. There is everything from the French food and a lot of the ingredients are local. Everything tastes great and here is everything you want in French cuisine. Terrains of different kinds seem to be a specialty. Steak Tartar, Grilled Chicken, Fois Gras, Snails, Wonderful Desserts such as Tarte Tatin, Rhubarb Pie, Chocolate Fondant, Chocolate Mousse. They also had Lamm that night with lenses. It was an experience to eat here and I really recommend this cozy restaurant that has few tables and you have to book before. This restaurant also only takes cash, not cards.//Mats Samaras, Stockholm, Sweden
