Nice couple who run the place who gave a very warm welcome, small and intimate and after 8pm all tables were full.Very little English spoken and the menu in French only you need to be able to read in French.If you wish a good French restaurant with French style cooking then this is a good place to try, small portions but all food cooked well.Wine was excellent ,

This small restaurant close to the main square and cathedral has only two set menus and we chose the 19⬠option. Our three courses were all beautifully presented and very tasty. The wine is also very reasonable though limited in choice.On both evenings the restaurant was busy yet the service was still quiet and efficient. The restaurant is only open on Friday and Saturday evenings as well as every lunchtime except Sunday.All in all, excellent food at a bargain price.

Came across this place by accident, and was attracted by lovely courtyard and great lunch menu (Le déjeuner)... Ordered a salad which turned out to be a delicious combination of really fresh vegetables, fruit, tender chicken breast and raisins beautifully served in a galette basket. The ace was clearly a favourite of the locals - a good sign.

Never been before and found this delightful restaurant near the "cathedral". Modern layout. Good facilities. Excellent reception and service. Very good food way of a quality well above its price range. Nice touches in the presentation and some lovely interesting flavours. House wine is local and very acceptable. A very nice meal

Very friendly and warm welcoming staff. Tasty chicken on the grill with green salad at a very competitive price. (7.95 Euro for half chicken) We also ordered Rib eye steak 300gr which was well cooked and a plate of cheese for dessert. Highly recommended. Easy parking in the area.

Remarkable experience in this restaurant in all aspects. We have chosen the Saveur menu @ 31 Euro/pp (starter,main,dessert). Taste,presentation were exceptional as well as the service. Staff was friendly,kind and could understand basic English. Reservation is highly suggested as the restaurant is tiny.

I went with a friend who lives in the area who hadn't been recently. What a surprise for both of us. We were seated at a lovely table.Attentive service without being overbearing.The 'amuse-bouche' was very good, except for the thin slice of oregano bread that did'nt have much taste.The foie gras entrée was delicious. We regretted not being able to lick our plates.My fish main course was just as good. As was her duck. I have never tasted duck so tender.Now, we get to the best part. Dessert. An ephemeral chocolate sphere. I know they are the current fashion in desserts, but so far, I hadn't been tempted. Let's just say, I am seriously considering returning to Cholet, if only to have it again.Conclusion : if you are looking for a lovely restaurant, this is the place.

We came in by accident, but we'll be back! Refined cuisine, full of charming surprises. The service was quick AND friendly. We had the menu "à l'ardoise" (starter, mains, desert for 16.90â¬), which was excellent ! If you like fish and seafood, this is the place to be in Cholet!

On entering this quirky little cafe, I confess to having reservations about our choice. However, the young owners were friendly and the food very good. Well presented and the gallettes were cooked to perfection.We liked the quirky touches e.g. a watering can instead of a bottle for water on the table.We'll done to the 2 young and talented owners, I'm sure they will go far in life.Bob chance!

Amazing food at a great price! The owner is very nice and funny and extremely welcoming to English speakers! The food is very fresh and the menu is constantly changing depending on what fresh ingredients are available.
