We have just got back from having wonderful fish and chips with our friends, well worth a visit, streets ahead of Quesada fish and chips. Staff much more friendly, better service and food miles better as well.Thank you so much for this review. My wife and I were lucky to win lunch at three Fountain on Big FM radio. The people at the bar served up a cracker of a lunch everything piping hot and perfectly cooked. Very friendly people who obviously care that you have a good meal. My wife had prawn cocktail to start I had garlic mushrooms. We both went for beef which came with roast spuds and mash and loads of veg served separately and Proper Yorkshire puds. Loads of gravy which I like. Pudding for me was apple crumble with lovely custard my wife had sticky toffee pudding. All like I said cooked perfectly. Thankyou to the Fountain for your generous prize see you again soon I hope. The restaurant menu is very extensive here for such a small restaurant. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing and the fish and chips were just like back in the UK. Will definitely visit again when we are back next year.

We taken over the Spanish and plan to change name we formally from the tavern in catral where we rented for over 10 month and june we took over this bar and look forward to seeing old and new customers

we were only in spain for 5 days and ate here twice, firstly sunday roast was great from the food (quantity and quality),to the service so we decided to go back for our last meal before flying home and again certainly weren't disappointed. the food was great hot plentiful and very reasonably priced and proper REAL chips , Jackie is a star very welcoming and nothing is a problem, she certainly deserves to succeed.Thank you so much for your wonderful review We area so pleased that you enjoyed your food and service Our aim is to make customer welcome and enjoy the experience with us. On our visit we were the only people in the restaurant and the fish and chips we wanted was not available. The person behind the bar explained the owner was away. Special fish and chips on Friday had to be booked in advance. We ate our meal and left vowing not to return.

We have an apartment in Almoradi and visit 3/4 times a year bringing family and friends. The service and food are always excellent and your made to feel like old friend's. The staff are very attentive and always check things are ok without being obtrusive, I don't understand Amanda h comments? If you felt that dissatisfied you should have spoken to the owner Heather who would have dealt with you dissatisfaction. The food is definitely not microwaved it's all home cooked.

Average food and slow service.Heard good things from the local ex pat community so gave it a try for breakfast.Really wish we hadn't.One member of staff who clearly didn't like a large group expecting a service.After our food came out ...we noticed cockroaches on the floor. Not just 1 but easily 6+ dead and even a few having a wander.Certainly not the best experience but reasonable prices and good location make it easy accessible.Genuinely hope it improves as it has alot of potential Hi , Thanks for your feedback . We appreciate all comments good and bad to help us improve .The roaches and all other pulgas are controlled by a very competent company that are routinely treating and inspecting our premises which is fully certificated and up to date with all treatments. The roaches can walk through the front door from the communal drainage system and sightings although uncommon are possible.. All bars and restaurants are in the same situation and we work with our neighbouring bars and restaurants to keep the situation at bay . Obviously comments relating to roaches can be very damaging to businesses so it is imperative to us to ensure we respond and react in a positive manner . Regarding the service you received we will be speaking to the member of staff on duty at the time to see what went wrong and deal with the matter accordingly. Weâll also check out the cctv to give ourselves some clarity on the service you received . Many thanks once again for your feedback

Have recently had a couple of delicious meals at the Fat Owl Catral both times the food was excellent and lovely touches to the presentation and the service was fast and efficient we will certainly be returning again in the very near future.

The staff/owners are very friendly and helpful here. The food is very tasty and comes out quickly. It gets pretty busy on Friday and Saturday nights so maybe you should book. Looking forward to going to the local market and trying the breakfast.
