Reviewed By rudiger-frankWe spent the Easter weekend at Torremirona Golf resort to play golf. The facilities and staff were excellent. Very accommodating. Golf facilities and the course were in excellent condition. Rooms were all situated close to the reception area, and pet friendly. Swimming pool also next to the rooms in a private area. Restaurant and service were also very good. We did not use the Spa as it was not located on the golf hotel premises - about 500 meters away and has a separate cost structure. We will come back.

Reviewed By Annia HAircon fine, well-equipped apt., nice view, friendly reception, parking available. A bit of a “dead” area. Would prefer Roses another time. Okay pools, though small. No sun parasols so far too hot in direct sun. Best in the evening but closes already at 7 pm. Not the cheapest...

Reviewed By Jimix66Carpe Diem Cadaqués is an outstanding place to spend your holidays. Services are excellent, they took care of us at anytime. The site is located close to the center of the village (5min walk) but is absolutely peaceful with great views of Cadaqués. Its japanish food restaurant is one of the best we have been: excellent food and service. Wether you are staying at Carpe Diem Cadaqués or not, you can’t leave Cadaqués without giving it a try.

Wonderful stay in the Studio Apartment
Reviewed By shalinikamra79We stayed here for one night only. We arrived early, so the property was nice enough to give us an early check in ( they had the room ready). Our hostess Eva was very friendly & helpful in getting info on Dali museum & the buses. The apartment itself was very comfortable, well equipped and tastefully done up. Cozy apartment with a small sit out area to enjoy the weather. The room did not have much of a view as it was on the ground floor. The pictures on their website are too basic and do not do justice to the actual rooms. So we were pleasantly surprised to see the room. We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back.

Mean rooms, bad service and quite far from city centre
Reviewed By 261annemarielIn spite of being quite far from the sea front, the setting in a terraces up the hillside with views down over the bay means it could be really good. But it isn't. The rooms are mean both in size and furnishings: our double bedroom had nowhere to put a suitcase, a single chair and an open cupboard which was like an IKEA box without its door so all the holes for fixing fittings are visible. Towels are small and thin. The balcony was nice with a view over the distant sea - in spite of the pictures published on various sites, the sea is actually quite far below and the walk down into the centre or to the sea is a good 10 minutes down (and up! ) a very steep hill. Even within the premises there are a lot of stairs everywhere. The junior staff are nice enough but the ones in charge were distinctly unhelpful. It is not value for money.

The Port Canigo Apartments are situated in the Santa Margarita urbanization and form an apartment complex just 1 km. from the beach and 3 km. from the center of Roses. We had 40 apartments with a capacity for 4/6 people, they are fully-equipped with pools for adults and children, jacuzzi, outdoor games area for children, snack bar, supermarket and elevator. And you'll find underground parking at your disposal.
awful, noisy, very thin walls
Reviewed By InkadoodlesWe stayed here in May 2017, read the reviews, so we knew it would not be great, but are looking at buying an apartment in the area, so needed to know what it was really like. Lots of car parking spaces, but also lots of dog mess, litter, weeds growing out of the paving slabs - generally very unkempt. Realised that we would have to go somewhere else to get our keys, but as we were prepared for this, managed it not too badly. I think it is an awful way to handover keys - there should be someone at the reception desk to greet you, or someone should at least contact you before you travel with directions and times that keys can be collected. The inner hallways of the apartments I thought looked like the inside of a prison, but my husband suggested that perhaps it had been designed on the interior of a bit ship. Either way, it is very dark and very noisy. We were in a ground floor apartment in which we could hear everyone else's front doors open and shut, we could hear people in the apartment next door walking around - sounded as if they were inside our apartment. Could also hear them in their bathrooms. The pool was shut, the restaurant was shut, the shop was shut. As others have said before, it is at least a 30 minute walk to the beach and it is not a very pleasant walk - lots of dog mess that needs to be watched out for. The only positive thing I can say about the apartment we stayed in is that it was very clean. I purposely looked for dust and dirt and there was none. Also, you get what you pay for - it cost us approximately £100 for three nights. Whilst I was unpacking, my husband knew I didn't particularly like the apartment and nor did he, so he booked us into the Port Salins Hotel in Empuriabrava the next night, so we only had to stay at Port Canigo for one night. Port Salins Hotel is superb, and Empuriabrava much nicer than Roses. To summarise, stay here if you like lots of noise from your neighbours and don't mind the bar/restaurant/shop being shut, don't mind walking for at least half an hour to the beach/bars/restaurants etc and be careful of all the dog mess outside of the apartments. Remember - you only get what you pay for.

Had problems with Electronic keys every day throughout the stay. Nice size swimming pool well looked after but unheated and at the end of the September too cold to swim in. In general a bit dated but good for a family holiday.

A great local Bed & Breakfast for families, couples, and Groups
Reviewed By MPS20132000Our double room had a great, large, comfortable bed, and a perfect bathoom. Stoned walls and wooded windows overlooking the well-kept garden with English-looking grass, yet with Catalan olive trees and cypresses, and a dozen sheep in the distance. From the church tower in the village nearby came the sound of bells. The village is worth a visit, particularly the meat shop for the local 'embotits' (Catalan sausages of different sorts, ask Xevi). Excellent breakfast with different alternatives that Mònica and Maria José will kindly explain. Large and comfortable lounge with huge couches, tv, and fireplace. Large garden and swimming pool. Very kind service, excellent price, a wonderful experience. We will come back.
