Reviewed By 1981brucehChecked in for a night before CNY Eve with family, and the experience was superb right from the beginning to the end. Parking lot was brand new and spacious. Check in was efficient with acknowledgement as IHG loyalty customer (free bottle juice and a bit of a surprise on the free snacks in the room ^^). Check in staff are all courteous and warm. Hotel is 1~2 months old, so room is perfect, large double beds and spacious bathroom. Coat hangers are solid and hangers sturdy. Map of the area on the wall is quite cool. Breakfast was delicious and heart healthy, with noodle bar (just wished there was minced pork for the dry noodles). Coffee is great, 3~5 choices (can't remember). Pasta was really good, and fried rice tasty. They have plain yogurt, a very nice touch. Gym was basic (only aerobic equipment) and starts at 7am, which is not early enough for business people who needs to work out before heading out. But the staff told me of a nearby park called Wenxin (5 min walk), which was great for jogging/ calisthenics/ stretching (I actually enjoy the work out in the park more than their gym). Hotel location is perfect, 5 min walk to the famous fengchia night market with an array of restaurants to choose from, all at reasonable prices. Auto water dispensers are located in the lobby and roof floor, which very convenient to hydrate your body. I really enjoy the experience at this business hotel, and hopefully, their price stays competitive going forward, so that i wouldn't go back to stay at HIE Taichung Park. Although both are equally good in their respectful ways.

Reviewed By DarcichenBest hotel to stay in Taichung, top location, top staff, really enjoyed the great stay. 大愛，滿分? 因公從4月7號入住，由於住的太開心，昨天搬出之後，到都超級難以適應新的住處，好懷念 1. 地點：七期的優勢就不用說了，走兩步就是法鼓山。最新附近還開了一間小7-11，或者往文心路方向也有全聯 2. 房間：view很好（由於view太好，讓我到現在都有難以適應新的住所） 3. 服務：無論是門口的少爺还有Katherine小姐，前台的正妹小姐姐们，還是3樓的餐飲，5楼的商务中心，大部分都很熱心，讓人覺得賓至如歸 4. 餐飲：作為一個吃素的美食爱好者，我刚入住的前幾天找不到喜欢吃的，三楼的正妹Maggie小姐就主动询问我要不要吃素蒸饺或者炒饭，每天都特别为我准备。还有其他的小姐姐们也都很棒，最快乐的就是丰盛的大早餐，也有我特别爱吃的好吃的cheese（以为离开欧洲就吃不到了，竟然也有babybel），面包也很多种，也都可以烤，总之很赞 好希望下次再来入住！

Reviewed By LessisMore47It was a busy week and I only started sourcing for a weekend stay in Taichung on Wednesday. Shocking to know that most good hotels were fully booked. A local friend managed to get a special reservation into the Lin. We were thrilled. The quality LIN service is felt upon arrival. The friendly door man was helpful. He attended to my 3 girls to ensure that they are out of harm's along the driveway. He led us to the reception. The front desk was efficient in processing the check in. She apologised that our room could only to be ready at 2.30. However, lounge amenity was available for us on both the ground floor and on the 25th. At the ground LIN bar, the Assistant Manager Mr 林 Was kind and quick to suggest that we use the bar instead of the 25th floor lounge as there is a big open garden area that our 3 kids may prefer. He is right! The lady staff Miss Joy there took the trouble to patiently explain and allowed us to pick and select the sumptous afternoon tea spread of pattries and snacks. We enjoyed ourselves enormously. It was a cool windy afternoon. The room is spacious and clean. Beds very comfy. We dialed the operator to ask for a cake shop nearby to buy a cake for our twins for the 6th birthday. While chatting, I joked about a cake compliment from the hotel. Within a minute ending the call, she called us to inform us that a fresh cake will be arranged and send to our room in the late evening. This is really delightful. This is what hospitality textbook called "wow" factor. These simple gestures made the LIN service a class above the rest. The quick response and differentiated personal services demonstrate the empowerment of the management and your commitment to customer satisfaction. Thank you for the special weekend. You are one of the BEST, May be on par or better than international hotel chains. I believe I am qualified to say that as I am a Titanium elite of Marriott Bonvoy and Spire ELITE of IHG. Reviewed By Jyunqing327Hotel was located 5 mins away from Taichung railway station. Hotel staff was friendly and we can deposit luggage for early arrival. Family room was spacious but room furniture was a little spartan. Beds were comfortable, though I did not like the bed frame with casters as the double bed would move its position. Buffet breakfast was decent but limited spread. Hotel was right opposite the famous Miyahara ice cream/restaurant.

Housekeeping needed to be improved. There is a difference between the service from the front desk too. Some are kind, but some are not helpful. Easy check in and check out. Overall speaking, it’s acceptable.

They all showed very professional with king, care and courteous attitude. We chose this hotel because of the location near central park. We didn't get the room with park view (extra cost), however, we could enjoy park view just walked out the room and only couple steps from a seating corner with floor-to-ceiling window to view the park. The other great thing is breakfast (included) with plenty of choice of western style and home cooking meal. With under US$80.00 (conversion) it's a steal.

Reviewed By AndreasH4650It looks very different then the Pictures. Room Service only on Request. Fresh Towel only on Request. Very Loud (Street and Fridge in Room). No Water in Room or Coffee or Tea. For the Price we had much better Hotels in Taiwan. Some Stuff disappeared from our luggage we are not sure but suspect it disappeared at this hotel. I dont understand why the reviews are good its really bad even for a cheap hostel/hotel.
