Yasur Camping Ground and Tree House

Our guests are able to see the active volcano from a stunning (but safe) distance. We have a tree house and bungalows as well as camp spots if you bring your own tent. Breakfast is included, lunch and dinner can be enjoyed in our restaurant.

Beautiful lodge, unbeatable hospitality, and volcano views!

Reviewed By addatrips

We had a fantastic stay with Thomas and his family. Great bungalows set in a beautiful garden with uninterrupted volcano views, excellent home cooked meals, and a very much appreciated recommendation to visit Port Resolution! You are literally across the road from the volcano - watch the smoke glow red as the sun sets, listen to the rumble of explosions in the crater all night, and watch for bright red-orange molten rock thrown up above the crater rim, all from your bungalow or the attached restaurant. Top notch hospitality: Thomas and his family made us feel extremely welcome, and the airport pick up/drop off in town was very much appreciated!! This is an absolutely top spot to stay - highly recommended!!

Day trip for snorkeling with the family

Reviewed By 744jacquiem

We had a great morning snorkeling here with the family (2 adults, 2 kids 13 & 11) our driver recommend us to come to Gideon's beach/Havana Bay as we wanted to snorkel and see some colourful fish. We were not disappointed and just a few metres out coral and lots of fish! It's an easy safe place for the kids to snorkel and get confidence as they don't have to go far off shore to see another world. The weather was ok, overcast but it didn't effect our day as you could still see beautiful blue and colourful fish. We were greeted by a lovely young waitress who gave us a bread roll for the children to feed the fish ? There was no fee, but were very happy to have lunch here to support this local business. The food was fresh and yummy we had calamari, fish & chips with a couple of local beers and soft drinks (as we're on holidays) I would definitely come back next time we're here!

Tanna Island Dream Bungalows

We loved our days here

Reviewed By Paradise23468665019

Nancy and Sam and family run a beautiful, idyllic property high above Port Resolution, with lovely views over the ocean, lake and forests towards the ridge with Mt Yasur volcano behind. You can see the smoke from the volcano and at night the glow is visible. Accommodation is lovely and comfortable and the huge meals come from the property’s garden and fruit trees. The property is 2 hours from the airport and 20 minutes from the volcano. Nancy organised transport to and from the airport and to and from the volcano. We loved our walks into the village and to White Sands beach, and to the black beach with hot springs. A beautiful, relaxing and remote time away from our busy world back home.

Beautiful Island

Reviewed By Blackpool

Visited this place having cruised there on board the Celebrity Solstice. Got to the Island by Tender and it was just mesmerising. It’s fascinating as it’s got its own Airport. The water was beautiful and clear and the Islanders who worked the Island were really friendly

Port Olry Harbour Beach

Incredible location! (But a sleepless night)

Reviewed By MikeZandvliet

What an amazing place... Incredible beach, remote, relaxed, beautiful, easy going. We stayed in the Mahogany Treehouse Bungalow, which was fairly spartan but uniquely placed in the branches of a huge tree. We loved this place completely.... Until it came time to sleep. The mosquitoes came out in force to make for a horrible night. With that, plus the roosters kicking off at dawn, and a screaming child somewhere in the neighborhood, I got no more than 4 hours sleep, and a dozen welts to show for it. Definitely bring citronella coils and any other forms of repellant you can lay your hands on. It's also worth bringing a cotton sheet to use, as they provide only a fleece blanket for cover. The food in the restaurant was basic but ok, although very expensive (like all the other places we've eaten in Santo). Offset by the champion views from the tables. We rented a car to come here from Luganville, which was not cheap (most rentals were priced at 9000 Vatu per day, about NZD120, regardless of the quality or size of the vehicle). It may be more cost effective to arrange transfers with the owners.

Tam Tam Bungalows

Tam-Tam Bungalows has gone through a major refurbishment in all 3 Bungalows, each with private shower and flush toilet. Bethehul Bungalow with a double and a single bed, Beterihi Bungalow has two separate bedrooms with a double bed in each room and Nouroure Bungalow has one double bed and 2 single beds. The bungalows are located on the seaside with nice view across to the Vao small island.

Well worth a visit. Relaxing, warm, friendly stay.

Comfortable, clean bungalow accommodation. Relaxing environment being located so close to the sea (essentially fronts the sea). Our experiences while at the bungalow were tailored to us - we did a walk, went swimming and canoeing. Food was amazing! Plenty of it and really tasty.

Bethel Village

Bethel is not open for guests at this stage

Reviewed By kerryandjake

I drove around the island in June 2010 and noticed that Bethel certainly isn't what it used to be. I spke with Joel Amos in Port Vila and he is sorry that he is unable to keep the bungalows running at the moment. Perhaps in the distant future.
