A very nice hotel with lovely staff
Reviewed By Trip425353My wife and stayed here on the 10th of April. The hotel was very nice and fairly priced. The staff and especially the receptionist were very accommodating and very friendly. He gave very useful tips on Valenca and the camino in general. It was also great to hear that he had a son living in Ireland!! . Thank you for all your help. 4 star rating :)

Super Guest house - clean, modern, excellent location, great price
Reviewed By 70avaWe loved the place from the first minute. The owner, Sarah, was super friendly and hospitable and upgraded us to a great room. The place is modern, located in an excellent place inside the fort, rooms are good sized, with balconies and modern bathroom. The beds are also modern and comfortable. It was a real treat especially if you take into consideration the price. The is a nice communal kitchen and sitting area. We shall definitely return.

Hopeless staff no interest in the guests
Reviewed By Bali-resortThe Expedia information said reception was open fro. 11.00am with checkin at 3pm. I arrived at 12pm and wanted to leave my bag while the place was open there was no one there. The whole place was open but empty. I rand the hotel no and I could hear the ph ringing but no one answered. I waited till 1.40pm till an unapologetic person came in the door and asked if I needed a key.. Well of course I did when asked about checkin he said it was 3pm when I said so why was no one here he said I don't speak English...in very good English. I could not recommend this ace at any price unless you are desperate I would recommend staying in the old part of Valenca I didn't see this until I left the next day it's a beautiful part of town with many nice places to eat.

The farm with about 5,000 m2, with many fruit trees and garden, with excellent sun exposure and many shadows for the warmer days. Swimming pool with 18x12x1.5m, barbecue area, recreation area, garages, automatic gates. Access to common kitchen, dining room, WI-FI and television. Pets are welcome, as we have spacious kennels where they can stay and feed.
Great Little Find
Reviewed By Mike SWe had a day trip to Portugal and stayed here. The house is fabulous with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. A couple of things let it down. The house was shut up when we arrived with no-one on site to let us in. We did only wait 20 minutes after a phone call. The house smelled a bit musty and just needed the windows opening for a bit before we got there. Plenty to do on site either swimming in the pool ,games, TV and music etc. Certain things didn't work or were a little dated, but that didn't take away from our stay. We had a great time and for a fantastic price. Worth a visit.

Casa da Eira dates back to the 17th century and was built by monks that belonged to the Convent of Sanfins de Friestas. It stopped being farming house and it was completely restored and adapted to welcome guests maintaining its “Eira” (threshing floor) and “Espigueiro” (the original granary). It is surrounded by a calm garden organized in “socalcos” enjoying an excellent view over the Minho Valley.
Relaxing stay in a historical countryhouse
Reviewed By adg8318We had a very relaxing stay in this beautiful historical building which has been renovated with lots of taste. Waking up in the morning and walking in the lush garden with plenty of fruit trees and enjoying a fresh orange juice which tastes like nothing you tasted before. The beautiful view over the swimming pool and the nature is breathtaking and the hospitality of the hosts is great. We felt very welcome and at home. We had several hikes in the nature that is surrounding the house. The nearby cities Monçao et Valenca are great to visit with lots of nice restaurants and also beautiful hikes nearby with waterfalls. And going just over the boarder to Spain for a nice day trip. There are lots of things to visit in the area which makes it a perfect stay to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings
