Reviewed By SampukkaI visited the Naantali Spa after 8 years with my niece and with my mother. Parking does not include to the room fee and it is quite a challenge to find a parking space. We had booked a deluxe room for us three. And like the last time we visited the hotel, the 12-year-old child was not taken into account and there were no towels, no robe, no linen or bed ready EVEN we asked for them when making the reservation so that the previous mistake wouldn't recur. So, it felt the hotel was not welcoming us there. The room itself was nice and clean and fluffy clean robes a welcomed surprise. When we checked in the receptionist told us that the hotel could not provide us restaurant services since the hotel is completely full. Oh? You cannot provide food for your guests? Well maybe you should not book your hotel full then. Or at least you can tell this on your website and develop your services that way. We do not want to come on nice vacation and eat a takeout in our room. We went to the Soleil restaurant and asked if we can have a table and the stressed woman working in the counter said we can come back in two hours. We waited two hours in the lobby bar/cafe where the tables were full of dirty dishes. Some people even tried to order drinks, but the staff said that they have no clean glasses. The dinner buffet was a disaster and considering it costs 39 euro without the drinks I was shocked. Empty bowls, waiters clearly overworked trying to manage everything. No vegetarian food available other than cold salad. We were dumb enough to go back the next evening just to find that it was even worse. Only two women trying to manage the seating, cleaning, drinks...They were both very clearly stressed and rude. The woman came to ask us about the drinks after we had already eaten. Breakfast was okay, not vegetarian protein available but lots of basic choices. Empty bowls again, so we had to wait if we wanted something specific. Suggestion: if the coffee and juice tables were switched around, maybe the corner would not get so crowded and it’s easier to maintain safety distances. The spa area was quite okay, dressing rooms a bit cramped. There were lots of trouble with the electronic lockers and they seem to get stuck easily. Once again- staff told that "they are used too much". Well maybe something to think about then. There is no control of the visitors in the spa so the second day we had to wait for 10minutes to get a locker. After that there was no chance of getting to steam sauna or pools since they were so crowded. But if you like swimming in general, there are space to do that with two large pools plus the smaller pools of course. Some reviews say that the water is too cold, but I think +28 degrees is quite enough. One thing that was absolutely amazing was the beauty salon Bellezza and its staff. They were all so nice and professional that I almost felt bad that they are part of this hotel. But they saved my trip completely. Well, it’s obvious that I need another 8-year break from this hotel. We were told in the check-out that the hotel is suffering from the lack of staff. It shows very clearly to us customers and I think now is the time to do something since the hotel is advertising itself as an upscale hotel. With the restaurant services working, this could’ve been a five-star trip. Stop apologizing and start doing.

Average hotel but good location
Reviewed By ssannamariaaaFor a room priced such as this, I found the place to be underwhelming. While clean, spacious and equipped with a private balcony, the room also had a broken bathroom lamp and the TV didn't work. More concerningly, the door chain was broken and couldn't be used. I found the layout of the shower area strange, as it didn't have a sliding door (or similar), and the water kept splashing onto the "toilet side" of the bathroom, leaving the floor wet. The hotel didn't offer any toiletries, but did have hand and body soap available fixed in the bathroom. The rooms are also quite far from the main building, which was a bit of a deterrent for me in terms of using the sauna and having breakfast (served from 8am to 10am which I think is a bit of a narrow window). This is a good average hotel for one who needs a place to sleep and breakfast but I think overpriced in comparison to the room and amenities. Service was very friendly.

Hotel Palo is a small, family-owned hotel located in the centre of Naantali. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants, the old town, the guest harbour and the Moominworld. The hotel itself is an old wooden house with 14 unique, old-style rooms. Safe and quiet yard, a playground for children next to the hotel.
We’ll be coming back.
Reviewed By Nicola BFriendly, beautiful and clean place. I have coeliac and noted this on the booking form. I didn’t even need to remind about it; tasty gluten free bread for breakfast with huge care taken in order that there was no cross contamination. Jouni is super thoughtful!

There was also alternative possibility to stay out in dining area or even go to garden and enjoy the meal under Apple trees. I selected ribs with potato salad and it was excellent and tasty. I enjoyed a lot!

Nice stay on our way to see Moomis
Reviewed By MajushaCute and quite place to stay for a night. I loved comfy beds and that we found breakfast supplies in the kitchen (coffee & porridge). It is situated close to Moomi park so it was great location for family with kids.

Huoneemme Hilman tuvassa oli äärettömän sympaattinen, toi mieleen lapsuuden kesät mummolassa. Omistajat olivat äärettömän avuliaita ja ystävällisiä. Miljöö on kuin suoraan Suomi-elokuvista, peltoja ja eläimiä ympärillä ja uimaranta lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä. Aamupala oli herkullinen, huone siisti ja sängyt mukavat!
