Reviewed By Mikael FThis centrally located hotel had an offer of 50% off from the point nights. So one night was only 10.000 points. Our room was ready on arrival at 11:45. We were upgraded to a Superior room because my partner is a Scandic TOP Level member. Every room is quite the same size at this hotel but Superior rooms have bathrobes and are located on the top floor. However, the views are not so special from any floor. The only problem at this hotel is the outdated decor. Otherwise, our room was quite practical. The breakfast was above the standard Scandic breakfast. It was pleasantly calm and the buffet was well looked after. The staff was friendly.

Reviewed By Mikael FThere are not many hotels in Lahti. So the prices are higher than in Helsinki. We made an extempore trip to Lahti as the opening of one Helsinki hotel was delayed. There was a new museum Malva opened in Lahti the previous week. When I looked at the prices of this hotel, the cheapest room was nearly 200 euros, even with the green S-bonus card. Then I found out that Sokos Hotels have also a senior rate with the code 'SENIOR' when booking directly from them. For a Supreme King room in the new Loft House wing, the price was just 135 euros. The normal price would have been 282 euros and the S-card price was 211 euros. This Loft House opened one year ago and is located across the street in the Sokos building. The 3rd floor of the department store was converted into a stylish hotel wing with 50 new rooms. These Supreme rooms have an oval-shaped window but otherwise, they are quite small. Our room #232 was probably the worst because it had a connecting door to the neighboring room making it even smaller. However, with some moving of the furniture, we could make the room more practical and were able to watch the television while sitting. I wonder why there is a connecting door because this Loft House has many other rooms more suitable for families. Before breakfast, I had already decided that I will give only four stars because of the crampiness of our room. However, the breakfast was so excellent that I will now give the hotel five stars. Also, our price had a good value.

Walking distance to city centre.the only lacking thing I can say is it does not have enough Tv channels in English. You have a free tea&coffee service all day! Don't miss it! Thanks to all of them.

Reviewed By EppuWSmall room, poor bed. But quiet, I heard no noises during my stay. Breakfast better than expected. If you are looking for luxury, this is not for you. The location is very good, only few minutes from the market square of Lahti.

Tämä asunto oli todella hieno ja se mikä oli käsittämättömän hienoa, on isäntä pariskunta, jotka auttavat kaikessa ja hakee vaikka juna-asemalta. Jos tuli jotain kysymyksiä niin heti vastattiin viestillä tai puhelimella ja oltiin valmiina auttamaan. Täyden kympin paikka.

Reviewed By 136sannahAlue, kartano ja hotellihuone olivat kyllä aivan mahtavat. Perushotelliyöstä ei ollut tietoakaan, hiljaiset tilavat siistit ja remontoidut huoneet sekä aamupalakattaus kruunasivat reissumme. Lämmin suositus koko meidän perheeltä.

Finnisches Urlaubsglück im Haus am See
Reviewed By slangschAuf unserer Reise durch Finnland haben wir spontan vor Ort online nach einer Unterkunft gesucht und dieses Haus am See zufällig gefunden. Angekommen konnten wir unser Glück gar nicht fassen. Genauso hatten wir es uns erhofft! Urlaub in Finnland haben wir uns in einem kleinen roten Holzhaus, direkt am See mit Steg aufs Wasser, eigener Sauna, einem Griller und in Stille, umgeben von Natur vorgestellt. So war es dann auch für unseren letzten beiden Nächte! Preis-Leistung passt sehr gut. Wir waren im kleineren der beiden Häuser, das wirklich nur für 2 Personen geeignet ist (bei schlechtem Wetter könnte es aber zum Lagerkoller kommen...). Der nächste große Supermarkt ist ein paar Fahrminuten entfernt. Kühlschrank, Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher, Töpfe und Geschirr - alles in dem kleinen Haus (mit eigenem WC und 2 Duschen) vorhanden.

Sunnuntai aamuna oli omatoimi aamiainen, joka sopi oikein hyvin meille jotka noustaan todella aikaisin. Maanantaiaamuna olikin jokin toinen versio, joka oli jäänyt mainitsematta meille. Soiteltiin numeroon ja sieltä pian meille takaisin ja niin oli taikoontunut varhainen aamiainen paikalleen ja pääsimme jatkamaan matkaa. Joustavuudesta suuri kiitos.

Hidden gem
Reviewed By AnnajameOur last pit stop on a trip around eastern Finland. Guesthouse Little Tundra seemed interesting, so we booked there. Stayed in their studio apartment with sauna. Place is full of personality and charm both outside and in and there is a free parking and wifi. Railway is just around the corner and you can hear the passing trains but the sound did not bother us. Not much facilities for cooking but there is fridge, microwave oven and a coffee percolator. The studio and bathroom /sauna are spacious and nicely decorated with ready-to-warm stove which is ready in just 15 mins. Staff was extrememy friendly and helpful, so warmly recommended.
