L'Escala (Spanish: La Escala) is a municipality in the comarca of the Alt Empordà in Girona, Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the Costa Brava, located between the southern end of the Gulf of Roses and Cala (bay) Montgó. It is an important fishing port and tourist centre, and has a festival dedicated to its famous anchovies. The GE-513 road runs inland from the town.

Repas à 11â¬, c'est vraiment le bon plan pour le midi.à ce prix, vous avez 1salade, 1 entrée, 1 plat, 1dessert, 1 café et 1/2 bouteille de vin par personne.Si vous choisissez le gâteau, ils l'arrosent copieusement de whisky, si vous souhaitez améliorer votre café avec de l'anis ou du whisky, c'est compris, c'est tout simplement épatant.Certes, ce n'est pas de la grande cuisine, mais c'est très bon et très sympa.

Popped in for a drink before eating dinner. Nice setting, a clean venue with great views of the sea. Despite its close proximity to the road it is quite a calm place. Friendly service and reasonably priced drinks. Did not eat as had plans elsewhere but looks good.

Nice restaurant with great décor, really clean feel about the place. Service is polite and friendly, the order was taken and the food took a while to come out. The patatas bravas were very small, just a few potatoes with a sauce in a side dish. Sandwiches were quite nice but for the price the place needs to make a few improvements in order to justify what it is charging.

Good French bistro food - moules and frites, French steaks and even French red wine. Everything cooked to perfection, and plenty of it. The owners are extremely pleasant, laughing and chatting with customers (although you need to speak French) - such a lovely change. The only slight negative from my point of view is the lack of desserts - just ice cream or coffee when my taste buds were crying out for a chocolate mousse. The ambiance is pretty basic but the food makes up for it - and it is appropriately priced giving good value for money. Situated directly on the beach of Reills this bar is perfect for a cocktail whilst watching the sun set. The staff are amazing so friendly and and attentive in particular Eric.They also do some great food options including a menu of the day for 11 euros for 3 courses. They offer tapas/burgers/crepes/childrens menu nice ice creams. They also have free wifi which was very useful you just get the code when you are ordering. Great little beach bar with the best staff.

We had a lovely evening here, we were with 8 persons and a nice round table was ready for us. We asked for several formulas for the menu, none of them was a problem also for the kids they made an adjustment. Very friendly staff. I had the mushrooms cream and the monkfish Paella both were very tastefull and rich on taste!If you are in the neighborhood, don't hesitate and make a reservation!

We had a wonderful meal at La Gruta. We chose the option for starter, entree and dessert. We started with a tomato, burrata salad and a octopus, chickpea appetizer. Both were delivered quickly and were excellent. The octopus was tender and the chickpeas were carefully spiced to not overwhelm the octopus. For our entree's we had the Beef Steak and the Pork. Both were excellently prepared and perfectly cooked. Our desserts were huge and beautifully presented. The dinner and wine prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food.
