We booked on-line for the â¬19 menu which due to an annual festival started with barbecued leeks with a wonderful dip! The meal seemed to go on forever, one delicious plate after another . We found out during the course of the meal that the bottle of winewas also included and it was excellent!

The young Argentinian partnership of Julian and Juliana - yes, really! have created a charming atmospheric restaurant in L'Escala with delicious food and friendly service. We tried the empanadas, steak and fish on our two visits and particularly enjoyed the generous and interesting vegetables served with each dish as well as the chargrilled tender meats. For years my husband and I have avoided sweetbreads but, following gentle encouragement from Juliana we tried them and then came back a few days later for another plate. This is good food served in an attractive location.
